CR84FN11

Hi friends! I'm just popping in quickly for a little card challenge. I have to say I just LOVE the color combination over at CR84FN. They always come up with such wonderful combinations. This one is perfect for Valentine's! Here's the color combination for CR84FN11.

I've actually been mulling over it for two days now! I think I may have over did myself yesterday and so I must have run out of crafting mojo. Haha! But I tried none the less. Here's what I came up with.


The background patterned paper I made was inspired by a card from Betsy Veldman from Stamp It Techniques. I stamped some background text style in brown on some red paper. Then I stamped my Tattered Angels flourish on the four corners of the panel. The birds and bird cage are from Love Birds (PTI). The sentiment is from Love Lives Here also from PTI.


I hope you like this one! I'll probably be making another one since I really love this color combination! I also have to catch up with my Moxie Fab World series of challenges. I'll see you all tomorrow! Good night! :)

Curtain Call Color Challenge Act 65

Hi everyone! My final post for the evening before I turn in is for the Curtain Call Color Challenge Act 65. Now THIS color combination was a real CHALLENGE for me. You know how I'm afraid of very bright colors! EVERYTHING in this color combination was bright! This is something I have to keep practicing on. I shouldn't be afraid of these colors next time!!!

Here's my take on the challenge. I didn't have all the colors in the color combination, so I substituted them with the closest colors that I had with me. I cut, stamped and adhered the patterned paper panels. Then I sewed the edges. I stamped this PTI flower image onto some orange patterned paper three times, cut them in different sizes and adhered them one on top of the other. Wow, this was a color overload for me! Haha! Moxie Fab World: The Neutrals Challenge

Hi everyone! I'm back for my 3rd post of the day. This one is for The Neutrals Challenge over at Moxie Fab World. I totally love this color combination! I love, love, love neutral colors! And this combination is just so relaxing. It reminds me of the beach. 

Here's my take on the challenge. I wish the colors came out right in the picture. I didn't have enough time to finish this card and have enough natural light to get a good picture of it. I'm really thinking about getting a light box now. It's so hard to try to finish everything in time for the perfect lighting all the time. The cardstock that came out looking like kraft is actually a sand colored cardtsock from Bazzill. I tried to keep this one as simple as I could, with little touches of "me" still in it. Moxie Fab: The Monochromatics Challenge

Hello again! Here's my 2nd post for a series of Moxie Fab challenges I'll be joining today! :) I'll probably be at it for most of the day so check back once in awhile to see what else I've posted for the day! Moxie Fab World has a series of color challenges all inspired by their new special Edition Color Inspiration Magazine. 

The Monochromatics Challenge consist of these wonderful colors.

Pink is an easy color to work with for me. Specially if it's all made up of soft pinks! This was a wonderful challenge and I thoroughly enjoyed making this card. I hope I have enough time to join most of the challenges on Moxie Fab World today. I was trying to make as many to make use of natural light as much as possible.  My pictures come out better when I take them like this. I love the soft glow of light around the card. I'll be back for more challenges! I hope you like this one. See you in a little while! :)

Moxie Fab: Gray is the New Black Challenge

Hi folks! It's finally Saturday! I woke up this morning thinking I had to hurry to get ready for work when I realized it was Saturday. Haha! I found SO many challenges in blogland today. Moxie Fab has SEVERAL color challenges going on and I really wanted to be able to make it on each one. The first one is the Gray is the New Black Challenge. Inspired by the January/February 2011 issue of Papercrafts Magazine.

Since I love gray very much, I decided to start off with this challenge. Here's my card. The embossing folder from Sizzix that I used here is my favorite one. It was perfect for this colored cardstock. And this stamp from PTI Mat Stack Collection 1 is also my favorite of the group. I decided to add my supplies list on the bottom of my posting again just to make things easier for everyone. I know I would get frustrated trying to find out where to get something I saw online too. I'm off to make more cards for the rest of the Moxie Fab Challenges! I'll see you all again a little later! :)

Hello AGAIN. :) Yes, yes, it's my THIRD post for the afternoon. I had a LOT of time...what can I say?! And ideas were just rolling off the top of my head today. I'm posting this early. It's for the Flourishes Timeless Tuesday’s 100th Challenge Celebration Blog Hop. I wanted to share it all with you because this was the best one I made today. The challenge was about using your FAVORITES! Anything from stamps, paper, embellishments, etc. I put almost ALL of my favorite things on this card! :)

There you go! My favorites, ALL in one card! Isn't it beautiful?! I just love how feminine it is. This has got to be one of my most favorite color combinations. I have a couple of die cut stars in my craft supply because I love to use them. For this star, I ran it through my Xyron, then I poured on the glass glitter generously over top. The button and lace are from Jo-Ann's. And the sentiment is from Verve stamps. 

I've been wanting to try some Flourishes stamps. But you know how so MANY stamp companies come out with so MANY stamp sets that you don't know what to get first because you can't get them ALL?! Haha! Well, this is what happens to me. I have a list of stamps from each company that I like. It's just so I know what to get when I order my supplies. My list is sooo long. :) I'm pretty sure yours is too! Haha! 

I stamped that background lace on the bottom of the patterned paper. I didn't realize that I had to heat set it because of the texture of the paper. I smudged a part of it off while sewing the panel to the card base. So I had to stamp it over again. I think I might have missed by a few millimeters. I didn't want to go through the whole process again so I stuck with it. Anyway, I hope you like my card. Thanks for stopping by! 

SFYTT January 2011

Hello again! Since I didn't want to put two cards for two challenges in one post, this is my second post. For the first one please scroll down to take a look! This is another card for the SFYTT January challenge. I just couldn't resist and wanted to make one more for it since I loved the sketch so much. Here's the sketch.

I wanted to try something new this time. I don't usually use die cuts that have been pre-made. I like making my own using my stamps and dies. But this collection "Oh la la" from My Mind's Eye is just so beautiful! The kit came with these gorgeous flourishes, medallions, etc. I HAD to try it. And what do you know! I finished this card faster than I would normally do. I usually take a LONG time to make a card. It's usually  because I'm not sure what to do, or I'm so busy making the little parts that make up the entire card. But this turned out quite beautiful. I hope you like it! It was fun making it.
