Papertrey Ink's Tag and Frame Challenge

Hi bloggies! I have a quick post tonight for the Papertrey Ink Tag and Frame Challenge. I'm sorry to say I don't have any PTI tag dies yet. It's been on my list for such a long time now. They just keep coming up with such great stuff that I really don't know what to get first!!! This is such a great challenge though. I just love seeing what people can make with a tag. Here's my submission for this challenge.

My tag was inspired by Melissa Phillips. Remember this gorgeous tag and card she made? Well, she layered Fillable Frames 4 over Mat Stack 4. I've always wanted to do that ever since I saw her post. It was such a fantastic idea! Instead of using patterned paper, I used a Tim Holtz bingo card stamp and die cut it. I inked the edges with Frayed Burlap. I also stamped the gift box and ribbon from Make a Wish Additions and adhered it on the fillable frame. Papertrey Button Challenge

Hello everyone! Yay! I finally had some time tonight to join the Papertrey Button Challenge. I've been wanting to join their challenges ever since it started but I've been so busy lately that I didn't get a chance to join a few of them. I love this challenge, and I LOVE their new stamp sets!!! Oh my goodness! I love all the vintage goodies!!! I CAN'T wait to get my hands on them!!! Here's my take on this challenge. 

I don't use Friendship Jar enough. It's such a cute set! This button challenge was perfect for it! When I read about the challenge, the first thing that came to mind was this stamp set. The buttons are also from Papertrey Ink of course! :) The striped background and the lace panel are from Hero Arts. And that gorgeous Post Card stamp (which I've been obsessing about...) is from Tim Holtz. The weekend is almost here! Yay! Finally some ME time. CASE Study Challenge 26

Hi friends! Sorry for the late post. I've been so busy today that I was too tired for any card making. Too much take home work today and my poor hubby has a really bad case of stomach flu. I feel really bad that I wasn't able to even join in the PTI festivities for the last two days. Thank goodness, I had already made my CASE Study Challenge card for this week! :) YUP! I'm really exhausted for the day so I'll keep this short. Here's my take on the challenge. Oops! My photo seems a bit bright this time around. Hi bloggies! Have you seen ColourQ's new challenge? They have a seriously, seriously sweet color combination that just has to be addressed! This was a perfect shabby chic color combination! Here's their inspiration photo for CQC 71.

Isn't this color combination just sweet?! I just had to join this one! The digital image is from Iralamija. I bought a few of these images because I always see them on shabby chic/vintage cards and I wanted to try them out too! The flower is from Recollections, AC Moore had a 40% off on all embellishments last weekend, and I grabbed a couple of floral embellies! :) If you've noticed, I've been using these gorgeous glittered stars on my cards lately. They're from Memrie mare. I believe the glitter is German Glitter. I'm really quite fascinated with them lately, and I was planning on getting some to try and make some embellishments. They are so much more sparkly than regular glitter. They're also made of real glass...so keep away from children.  Enjoy the rest of your week! PTI: Make It Monday Challenge

Hi bloggies! Have you seen all the festivities and challenges over at Nichole's blog? There's something wonderful happening everyday! Hurry on over for a chance to win some wonderful prizes! This card is for the Make It Monday Challenge. Erin Lincoln has a fabulous video about a different way to use sentiments. In this challenge, you have to incorporate the same idea onto your card. 

I made a pretty simple card for this challenge. I didn't want other embellishments to take away from the design. I stamped the sentiments with Versamark on a panel of Ocean Tides cardstock. The I heat embossed it with some white embossing powder. Then I just layered it over a kraft cardstock and patterned paper. I couldn't resist adding that little flower on the top right corner. Happy Sunday bloggers. I made  this card last night but was unable to post it because of the late hour. I really enjoy Mona's challenges over at CR84FN. Her color choices are always beautiful and fun to work with. This one is no different. Here's the inspiration photo for CR84FN 14.

I made an argyle background using A Little Argyle from Papertrey Ink. And I just absolutely love the effect of a crackle stamp over it. The vintage, old world effect is just beautiful. For the central panel, I used a stamp from Mat Stack 1 Collection. I was really excited when Papertrey Ink started releasing these kinds of stamps.   I just love using them. On the bottom, I have a gorgeous tiled stamp from Very Vintage Christmas by Waltzingmouse Stamps. I had a bit of a hard time aligning it...I hope it looks fine. I hope you'll enjoy this one. Curtain Call Color Challenge Act 68

Hi bloggies! Before I introduce Act 68 for the Curtain Call Color Challenge, I would like to thank everyone who has left sweet words on my posts lately. Everyone has been so nice and encouraging. I'm really glad I can bring inspiration to all my bloggie friends. Thanks for believing in me! ;) I can't believe I'm a part of these wonderful design teams. And I'm so glad to have gotten to know so many wonderful women here in our little crafty world. :) Sorry I haven't been posting as often as I usually do. I've been a bit busy making my cards for my DT spots and trying to send in some for publication as well. I'll try to post at least one every other day if not one everyday. :)


Now onto our challenge! This week's inspiration is absolutely stunning. I had to make my card over and over again because I wasn't satisfied that I was giving this challenge credit!!! You'll see what I mean...here's Curtain Call Color Challenge Act 68.

Here's my take on the challenge. When I saw this color combination, I couldn't stop myself from picking out Love Lives Here by Papertrey Ink. I made the central panel first. When I was happy with what I had made, I couldn't decide what the main background would be. It took me 2 cards before I finally came up with this one. I had to run the butterfly die so many times through my Cuttlebug...I think he's so tired the poor thing is probably asleep right now. Haha! I concentrated on the white and soft pink, and added just a pop of green and bright pink. I hope you like this one...it was such a struggle!!! :) Thanks for stopping by!
