Mojo Monday 181

Hi bloggies. Just a quick post. I have another late one for you. I just finished making my card for my DT post tomorrow and I hurried and made this one for Mojo Monday 181. I tried to keep things simple with this one. 

I used patterned paper from Webster's Pages. And stamped my Fabulous Flourish from Hero Arts on the background. I also used my Sweet Love from Papertrey Ink for my label. The sentiment is from Embellishments, also from Papertrey Ink. Oh and I also stamped a crackle stamp on the bottom corner to add a bit of dimension. I'm off to bed. See you all tomorrow! Three birds with one stone

Hi bloggies! I have a confession to make. I have been falling asleep after dinner almost all the time now! Hee! I'm just soo tired after work a lot. I haven't been joining a lot of challenges like I want to. I made a card tonight for 3 challenges. I decided to combine the challenges instead and make full use of my posting tonight. First up, Flourishes: Bring Back Beautiful - Time for Neutral Beauty. I saw Heather's post today for Bring Back Beautiful. It was so gorgeous that I said to myself I wasn't missing this challenge. Secondly, I saw Lisa Johnson's video over at Papertrey Ink's Make it Monday: Distressing Edges. I thought it would be a perfect technique for the look I was trying to go for with my card. And last but certainly not the least, our dear Chupa has a sketch challenge up at her blog! I tell you, this lady is Wonder Woman! I can barely count how many DT spots she's currently holding, aside from ALL the challenges she joins PER day, and she has CASE Study Challenge and NOW Sketchbook Saturday Challenge! Whew! What a busy, busy lady!!! :) Here's a little sneak peak of my card...

When I saw Chupa's sketch, I knew I was going to use this butterfly! I also decided to go for this swirl from Hero Arts, it always looks good in neutral colors. I stamped it over some Background Text Style from PTI. Instead of actually putting some crocheted lace on my card, I stamped my favorite stamp from WMS Victorian Frippery. I love the combination of brown and gray. It's so elegant! The sentiment stamp is also from PTI. I just love sentiments that combine script with printed text. Beautiful! CR84FN18

Hi everyone! It's a gloomy Sunday here in New York. I hope it doesn't rain that much later on. I have a card for this week's CR84FN18 challenge. Whew! Orange and yellow together...not my usual colors...but then that's why they call it a challenge right?! And after seeing Heather and Mona's cards, of course I have to try and make one myself! Here's the color combo for this week.

Here's my card. I used some of my new PTI stamps again this morning. I'm having so much fun with them. I just feel that I'm not using them to their full capacity. It's always a matter of imagination and mojo. Unfortunately, there wasn't a lot of mojo this morning. I'm hoping for more tonight so I can post a few more cards before the week begins.

Have you gone on over to Stacey's Stamping Stage? If you haven't yet, there's some sad news over there. Stacey has finally decided to close the Curtains of Curtain Call Challenge. After giving everyone so much inspiration every Sunday, it's such a sad thing for a lot of people. I'm a little sad too. Curtain Call Challenge was my first ever DT spot. I was so nervous but grateful at the same time when Stacey asked me to join her team. She believed in me even when I was dubious about my capabilities. I wouldn't be where I am now without that belief. Thanks Stacey! 

Moxie Fab World: Tuesday Trigger

Hi bloggies! One more for the road! :) If you haven't seen my previous post just scroll down. So I was browsing through my favorite blogs. And I saw Cristina's lovely rendition of Tuesday Trigger. Since I just got my new stamps in today, I wanted to keep inking and stamping! Before I show you my card, here's the inspiration photo for this Tuesday Trigger.

I started off with different yellow patterned papers. I love the one in the background with the leaves on it. It's just so spring! I decided to try out my Delightful Doilies from Papertrey Ink, and I stamped it over the second patterned paper. I must say, when Nichole was using them on her video, it seemed to look pretty easy. But it took me quite a while to get it. The edges where I would connect the bigger portion of the doily would be so much darker than the rest and so you knew where each segment started and ended. I guess I just need more practice. I also used a stamp from Sweet Love. It's the same stamp I used in my previous card. I love all the swirls in this set. It's absolutely beautiful. 

I also added that large swirl from the Embellishments set, also from Papertrey Ink. The flowers are from I am Roses. I bought a whole bunch of them and I'm really loving them right now. It took a while for them to get here though because they came all the way from Thailand. Anyway, off I go. Perhaps I can sneak in another card later on tonight! :) Thanks for stopping by today!

Color Cue 12 Challenge

Hi everyone! My PTI stamps finally came this morning! Yay! After about 30 minutes of cutting, sticking, adhering, prepping the sets, I went and inked them right up. I'm so glad I saw the Color Cue 12 Challenge before submissions closed this coming Monday. Their last color combination was such a fun combination and I totally forgot to join it. I said I wouldn't miss this one like I did before. 

Here's my take on this color combination. I finally have this cute little stand I keep seeing everywhere! I first saw it on Mona's blog and then Jen's. So finally after looking for it for so long, I just asked Jen where she got hers. And funny, it was in Michael's all along. It was in the candles section. I would never have found it if I hadn't asked her. I HATE passing through the candle section because the extremely strong odor of all the candles would make me nauseous. Mona, Jen, I hope you ladies don't mind! :) 

I'm also looking for that ornate little drawer that Melissa Phillips usually uses as her backdrop. I just love how it adds flare to her pictures. I was looking through our TJ Max because they had something similar. But none of them had those intricate carvings, which was what drew me to it in the first place. Do any of you have any idea where I can get something like that? Anyway, I hope you like this one! I'll see you again...maybe later! ;)

Waltzingmouse Sketch Challenge 37

Hi bloggies! Yay! It's finally the weekend. A little time for some R&R for everyone. I can't wait for my online orders to come in! I'm in need of new toys to play with. My husband once asked me how come I had to get something new every month. He says I already have enough stuff and that should be enough. I don't know. I couldn't explain it. It's just addicting!!! Isn't it?! Don't you have to have something new to play with after a while? Every time I get my new stuff in I get my mojo running. I was looking at some craft rooms of some crafters online. And oh my goodness the COLLECTION they have?!?!?!?! It made my supplies look like a little box in the corner! Haha. 


Well, Waltzingmouse Stamps has a new release this March. They have 5 new stamp sets that are sooo fun! You should head on over there and take a look. I'm pretty sure you'll love what you'll find. And since it's Saturday, we have our Waltzingmouse Sketch Challenge 37. Here's this week's sketch.

Here's my take on this sketch. I know the sketch is made up of four squares on top of each other. But I chose to layer different shapes on top of each other instead. I used WMS Victorian Frippery and Fancy Phrases for my card. And I added these lovely vellum butterflies to balance out the empty spaces. What do you think?

Card Patterns Sketch 104

Hi bloggies! Yay it's half way through the week already! I can't wait for another nice and relaxing weekend with a lot of crafting time. I saw the sketch over at Card Patterns and I wanted to try it out. I love their guest designer Danielle Greenwood. Her shabby chic/ vintage layering is just awesome. I've been following her blog for a while now and I'm always amazed with the cards that she comes up with. It was her card that inspired me to try out this sketch 104.

And here's my take on it.

I used some of the stamps I've been favoring recently. The stripes pattern from Hero Arts, the dogwood flowers from WPlus9 and the post card stamps from Tim Holtz. I can't seem to get enough of them! Danielle's card was soooo Betsy Veldman! And as you all know she is one of my all time favorite designers. I wish I could pull a Betsy card too!!! :) Anyway, I hope you like this one. I've been seeing this theme used so many times every since Papertrey Ink came out with their Vintage Buttons. Well, my new stamp sets are on their way, and in the mean time...I used these.
