Hello folks! I'm back! This time for CASE Study Challenge 90. Wow! Did you see the number of people who played with us in the last challenge? I guess majority of card makers are CAS card lovers. :) Aga is such a great inspiration. I'm not very good CAS but I find that it's easy for me to translate it into my mixed style.
Here's this week's CASE Study Challenge by Aga.
I love the layout of this card from Aga, and this is what I used on my card. I changed it up a bit of course to suit my style. But I'm pretty sure you can still see the layout there. :)
I brought my Papertrey Ink stamps, dies, impression plate and cardstock into play this week. So everything here is from Papertrey Ink except for the crocheted lace and ribbon which I got from my local Joann's.
Instead of the flowers that Aga used, I chose to use a flourish as a background. Then taking inspiration from Aga's pearls that were spread out, I die cut and stamped stars instead. I adhered them with foam tape to add a little dimension to them.
In the inspiration card, there's a strip of pleated cardstock on the bottom. I didn't pleat my strip, instead I embossed it with a woodgrain impression plate. Then instead of stamping my sentiment on a strip of lighter cardstock, I added the lace and ribbon.
I stamped part of my sentiment on the background panel and the word "star" on a die cut star that I had stamped.
I hope you like this one, because I was very excited to show it to you. I had so much fun making it. I hope to see you in CASE Study Challenge this week. Please visit the other DT ladies for more inspiration. Enjoy the rest of your week and thanks for visiting my blog!
I love how you always stay true to your style, and with beautiful results! I don't use these stars often enough, and they look great with the flourish.
