CASE Study Challenge 91

Hello there! Welcome to another round of CASE Study Challenge. I'm sorry that my post is late for this week's challenge. I've been very busy this week and had no time to make any cards. I stayed up late last night to make a card for today. I had enough time to make 2 cards actually! It's my way of making it up to you! :)

Let's get started shall we? Here's Aga's card for this week's CASE Study Challenge 91.

For my first card, I made a more soft, shabby chic card. I took in some of Aga's components and incorporated it into mine. I loved the color combination so I used the same. And I also loved the butterfly theme.

Aga stamped a wood grain image onto her tag, instead, I dry embossed it on my patterned paper. I'm not sure if you can see it so well. I added a doily and lace to soften things up. Then I noticed that it seemed to white and cream right in the middle, so I added the twine and the kraft double sided banner where I stamped my sentiment.

For my second card, I went a little CAS. I'm not sure if it's CAS enough, but to me it seemed that way. Again, I dry embossed the wood grain pattern onto my background panel. Then I cut the green banner and adhered it with foam tape.

The butterfly images are from WPlus9 Flora and Fauna 1. The sentiments on both cards are from WPlus9 Heartfelt Mix. The banner dies are also from WPlus9, Banner Trio Die. Did you know that WPlus9 now carries cardstock? I've been using it several times on my cards. They are just wonderful. Very good quality, heavy cardstock. They come in kraft, oatmeal and white. Try them out, I'm sure you will love them too! :)

Well, that's all I have for you today. I'll be back with a release later on...make sure you pass by the other CASE girls' blogs! Thanks for stopping by today! See you again soon!

  1. I love that you made cards in two very different styles from the inspiration! I love the soft green, lace, and doily on the first one, but the CAS card is really incredible! The orange butterflies look stunning against the green.

  2. Two cards! Wow! The first one had me drop my jaw to the floor! Love your take on the sketch - the doily, lace, that green, the butterfly - just gorgeous! The second is so much more clean and graphic - I like the stripes and how the bright colored butterflies (Like blooms) just pop off the page.

  3. Lovely cards! What a cool contrast between the two. I'm in love with your orange butterflies and how they pop off of the green page. Gorgeous x2 :-)
