Hello! Happy Happy Thanksgiving! It's a recent addition to the holidays that I celebrate. I started 4 years ago, and I must say that I really love it! Perhaps not so much of the after effects of eating so much food. lol!
But there are so many things to be thankful for in life. I think it's wonderful that people stop for one day to celebrate all the things we should be grateful for.
So, for CASE Study Challenge 118, I'm going to go with a Thanksgiving Theme. We have another wonderful card from our November muse, Angeline Young. And it's perfect for what I had in mind! Isn't this brilliant?! :)
I loved the leaves and fall colors on Angeline's card. So I looked for some leaf images and decided to work with these. For my card, all the stamps are from PTI. And as always, the patterned papers are from My Mind's Eye.
I stamped the leaf images on patterned paper. Then heat embossed the veins that ran through them. I had to hand cut the leaves because I just realized that I didn't have the coordinating dies!!! A little problem that can easily be fixed. :)
After being on my wish list for such a long time, I finally bought this beautiful frame die from Spellbinders. I stamped a flower image on it and adhered a label with my sentiment on top of it. I piled the leaves on top of the frame and added a ribbon, some felt leaves and buttons.
I added a strip of mini pompoms to the bottom to balance the top heavy look of the leaves.
If you're not too busy this week, please join us for a little inky time over at CASE Study Challenge. Check out what the other girls have for you there as well. I hope to see your submissions over at the challenge blog! I'm off to enjoy the yummy food! Hehe. Have a wonderful Thanksgiving! :)
