Handmade Paper Flowers - Round 2

Hi everyone! This is my second post for the evening. If you want to see the first one just scroll down. Just a short post before I'm off. I was making some paper flowers tonight and I wanted to share some of what I've made with you all! :) It's the same die from Tim Holtz, I just distressed it differently this time! And guess what came out! Roses!!!! Well, it looks like roses to me! Hee! :) Here they are. I hope you like them!

Here's a close up of one. This time I didn't distress the petals so much and I curled the edges. I was looking at some paper flowers on some cards that I'd seen. I think they're Prima flowers. Anyway, one flower had its petals curled just this way. So I thought I would go ahead and give it a try and see what happens...THIS is what happened! :)

I found that inking a cream flower looks better than actually using different colored cardstock. I'll try to make some more tomorrow using some inking. Maybe I can show you again tomorrow. :) That's it for tonight! Good night everyone! Thanks for stopping by!

  1. These are beautiful Jean! I've got that die and I'm going to give it a go. What was your technique?

  2. @Jess: I watched this video on you tube to get the basics, but I can't remember what the title for the video was. I just typed paper flower tutorials. But I changed parts of the technique...I just curled the edges.
