Hi bloggies! I'm back for a little Color Cue challenge. I haven't played in a while, and it seems I've been busy making my DT cards that I've missed a lot of my favorite challenges. Here's my way of making up for it. :) This one is for the Color Cue 15, the colors are super sweet and so I made a super sweet card for it too! lol! Anyway, here's the color combination for this challenge.

I actually made this a while back. But I was so busy with my DT challenges and releases that I forgot to post this. I'm posting it now since I have nothing up my sleeve this Sunday. :P I seriously don't know how some of my friends who have like 5 DT positions manage to make all of their DT cards and STILL have the time to join challenges and such! I wish I could make my cards faster. We have visitors staying at the house this week and so I have less time for my crafting. It's really good to have these cards ready for times like this. I hope you like it.

I used the Mehndi Medallions to make a background and also a border for the top. I stamped Very Vintage Label No. 5 on a vellum sheet, die cut it and inked the edges. I also stamped the beautiful label from Brothers and Sisters (w/ die) and one of the sentiments that comes with the set. The butterfly is my favorite punch from Martha Stewart. Waltzingmouse Sketch Challenge 48 - Happy 2nd Birthday Waltzingmouse Stamps!!!

Hi bloggies! I'm back this Saturday for the Waltzingmouse Sketch Challenge 48. And if you don't know yet, it's also Waltzingmouse Stamp's 2nd birthday! Be sure to head on over to Claire's blog to send her some love. I remember discovering WMS through Jennifer Holmes. I love how she uses WM stamps sooo much! After I bought my first order I was hooked. And now...not sure about the time frame here...I can't believe I'm a part of the Mischief Makers. It's been a fantastic journey so far. Sometimes it seems like I'm only dreaming. But whatever it is...I hope it never ends! :)


We have a brand new sketch today, and again it's from our very own, very talented Miss Edna! Without further ado...WMSC 48.

Isn't this sooo cute?! I have to admit at first I wasn't sure what to do...but I played around with my stamps and came up with this...

 I changed the sketch a little...hee..you know me! I added...so I really didn't change it all that much. I stamped the Text It background to some My Mind's Eye patterned paper and inked the edges a little to age it. Then I stamped these gorgeous decorative circles from Very Vintage Labels No. 5. The gorgeous silhouette is from Webster's Pages. I know used it on my last WMSC card...but I can't help it. It's just sooo beautiful I wanted to use it again. Can't wait to see what you come up with this week. I'll see you all over at the challenge blog ok?

Waltzingmouse Stamps May Blog Waltz

Hi everyone! I had meant to make my card for the Waltz yesterday but didn't have any time to make it. I'm so glad I made it in tonight though, even if I am late. :) Well, masculine cards, not my strongest point. But I have missed many a-waltzes to let this one slip by me. 

So without further ado, here's my masculine card for the May Blog Waltz. I'm not very good with masculine cards so please forgive me. I've been trying to draw a sketch for this one since Sunday, but no ideas were coming to mind. Finally, I sat down tonight and took some of my new stamp sets and decided to just go ahead and stamp! I used Text It for the background, and Join Us for the sentiment. Let me just say that I'm totally in LOVE with this font. Isn't it gorgeous?! I wish my handwriting was this awesome. lol! :) 

 

Flourishes: Get Our Sketch On

Hi friends! I have another challenge for today. I found that the Get Our Sketch On challenge over at Flourishes was extended until tomorrow. And since I was feeling a bit crafty, I decided to give it a try. I didn't know Flourishes had so many great challenges. I've been trying to join the Timeless Tuesday Challenge and the Bring Back Beautiful Challenge lately. It's great to know that they also have a sketch challenge! :) Well, here's their sketch for this week's challenge.

I used my new Orchids stamp set for this card. I'm new to Flourishes stamps although I've known about them for some time. And I'm really glad to report that they are awesome! Well, I only got two sets to try out first, but so far I'm loving the quality of the stamps. And the images are all so very  beautiful. These were my favorite...I've used it twice already. And again, I stamped it on vellum. It looked so good in vellum the first time that I had to do it again a second time. I chose to go with soft greens and browns for my card because it seemed appropriate for the soft and beautiful flowers. :) I hope you're liking it! 

Card Patterns Sketch 115 and PDCC81

Hi bloggies! I was looking through my favorite blog sites and challenge sites this morning and was delighted to find the challenge over at Card Patterns. They always come up with the most wonderful sketches. At times the sketches scare me off, but this morning I wanted to take up the challenge and see what happens.


Card Patterns Sketch 115 is by the very talented Nina Brackett. And their guest designer this week is Clare Buswell. She has been one of the greatest inspirations I've had since I started this hobby. I was delighted when I saw that she was the guest designer for this week. OF COURSE, I also knew that a lot of my TCM friends are here! How could I not join in on all the fun?! :) Here's Nina's sketch for Card Patterns 115.

I don't know if it's very obvious, but I used the colors from The Play Date Cafe Challenge 81 for my card. I tried to fix the picture so that the colors would be pretty visible, but it seems I did a poor job at it. Anyway, here's the gorgeous color combination for PDCC81.

For those who visit my blog often, you all know that I'm totally afraid of irregularly shaped cards. THIS is an irregularly shaped card. (for me) lol! Once in a while, I'll get out of my little shell and try something out. Here's me trying! :) 

I used my Butterfly Kisses from The Craft's Meow to make my card. I thought it was perfect for this card. And it's also one of my favorite stamps! :) I'm always delighted when I browse through other people's blogs and find them using the stamps I love to use. It never fails to give me more ideas on how else I can use my stamps.  What do you think? :)

Waltzingmouse Sketch Challenge 47

Hi bloggies. Oh my what was that all about with Blogger being down for such a long stretch! I just noticed that all the comments that I moderated on my last two posts are completely gone! So sorry about that. I got to read all of them though, so that's what counts! :) 


I'm back for another Waltzingmouse Sketch Challenge. This time, we have the fabulously talented Ms. Edna, designing our sketch. Here's what she has for us this week.

Ok, for those who know me well by now...I have this propensity to change the sketch a bit. Hehe! And I did so again this week. Instead of having my card horizontally, I decided to go vertically this time. Here's my interpretation of the sketch.

I got some of my new stamp sets in and am still waiting for the others to arrive. I got my Dainty Doilies (Large) and Say It Loud in the mail yesterday and inked them up right away. I am also loving how the color combination worked so well with the stamps. I also got my Webster's Pages silhouette in the mail. And I can't tell you enough how beautiful I think it is. Absolutely gorgeous! Anyway, let's all cross our fingers that what happened to Blogger will not happen again. I'll see you over at Waltzingmouse Sketch Challenge ok? :)

Card Patterns: Sketch 114, Timeless Tuesday, Bring Beautiful Back

Hi bloggies! I had some time today and wanted to join a card challenge. Card Patterns had a lovely sketch this week and I decided to make a card with it. I also used the colors from Embellish Challenge Color Trends. Unfortunately, I didn't read the entire challenge and so I didn't make a square card. DARN! lol! I probably wouldn't get away with entering this in the Embellish Challenge hee. Anyway, here's the sketch for Card Patterns 114.

My friend Heather alerted me to two more challenges I can join in. Thanks Heather! It's perfect because I'm using Flourishes stamps. So, this one is also for Timeless Tuesday 117 "Anything Goes" and Bring Beautiful Back "The Beauty of a Flower". 

Here's my card. I used my new stamp from Flourishes, I believe it's called Orchids. When I saw the release for the new stamp sets, this one called to me. It's so beautiful and elegant. I just LOVE it to pieces! And it's my first Flourishes stamp set...and I can happily say that I love the quality of the stamps. :) It's actually facing the opposite side. But I needed it this way, so I stamped it on vellum and flipped it. I love how this turned out. I hope you like it! I'll be back later on for some CASE Study Challenge! See y'all then!
