Hi! We have another round of previews ready for you today. Welcome to The Craft's Meow May 2012 Release Previews! Today we're introducing two very fun and graphic stamp sets, Typically Teen and Retro Foundations. Both from our very talented designer, Karen Baker.
I have two projects today, one for each stamp set. I made them in completely different styles. One is a bit CAS and the other a bit shabby chic. Let's get started! Here's my first card using Retro Foundations.
I love this color combination! I die cut a label, a flourish and some numbers and put them together. The circular pattern on the label is one of the cool retro images in the set. After stamping the pattern, I put together the label, the flourish and the numbers.
I also stamped Happy Birthday several times on the background panel. I didn't want to leave it blank so I did the background stamping with a sentiment from the set.
This is my favorite image from the set. I repeatedly stamped this on the bottom portion of my card and colored it in with my Copic markers. I added the ribbon and flowers...and viola! Here's my card! :)
For my second card, I went in the CAS direction. This one is using Typically Teen. I wanted to be able to switch from different card styles and I've been practicing lately.
I used different images from the stamp set to make my background panel. Then I stamped this cut car image from Vintage Rides and colored it with my Copic markers.
For the sentiment, I just stamped Congrats on some kraft cardstock and used my pinking shears on it. I also added a little more of the sentiment underneath it. The little tab above is a die from PTI.
I had a very tiring Saturday, with a lot of errands to run. My mind feel's very fuzzy right now so I hope you still had fun with my post today. Don't forget, you have a chance to win these stamp sets over at The Craft's Meow Store Blog. All you have to do is leave a message. See you again tomorrow for the blog hop! :)
