Well then, onto our challenge shall we? Welcome to Waltzingmouse Sketch Challenge 63. Our sketch this week is from Anya. It's a wonderful, wonderful sketch. And you'll come to find that the Mischief Makers have used a number of variations for this sketch. I'm sure you'll enjoy this one!
This sketch was begging for me to use Victorian Frippery. I saw this color combination from a magazine I was reading the other night and I wanted to try it out. I was a little afraid to use yellow and red on the same card. But I must admit, that adding the pink and vintage cream to the combination balanced things out.
I've kept things simple, and just stamped out a label from Very Vintage Labels No. 10. I topped it off with this gorgeous sentiment from Say It Loud. I didn't go all out with my layering this time. I wanted to try to keep it simple. I can't get over how beautiful that border stamp from Victorian Frippery is. It's my absolute favorite border stamp, as you already know! :)
Just beautiful! I love the colours and pretty lace you've used. Fab!
ReplyDeleteHi Jean, I use Groupon quite often. Works great! Never had any issues. If you have questions before you try, you can pop me an email.
ReplyDeleteI love your card this week! That Victorian Frippery is gorgeous. And in pink too! Even better!
Just lovely, Jean! You've definitely given these colors a softer look with the addition of pink and cream, plus the pretty lace.

I am so getting this Victoria Frippery set next order...I agree, that border is amazing :) Thanks so much for all your kind comments this week...and noticing my cards in CARDS :) There will even be MORE of me in January (wink, wink!) Hope your mom is still on the mend and your back is feeling better. Hugs :)
ReplyDeleteI love this color combination. Red and Yellow with a bit of pink and cream. I love the stamped lace, adds such a delicate feel to your card. Great inspiration, guess I better get stamping on my sketch!
