The Craft's Meow July Release - Day 4

***Don't forget to check out my CASE Study Challenge 46 post right here.***

Hi bloggies! We're almost to the full reveal in The Craft's Meow July Release. Today is Day 4, and we are proud to show you Baggin Some Rays, by Michelle Bertuzzi. I have to tell you that this stamp set is PERFECT for summer!!! I guess the name of the set kind of gives you a hint of what to expect. Actually, I should just show you...

I had so much fun making this card. I stamped the sun images to make a background. Then I inked the edges and sewed it onto a yellow cardstock. To make it more "Jean", I added some of my favorite embellishments. Some ribbon and lace of course, then my favorite bling...German glass glitter on a star. I also stamped another sun and the center and layered it over each other using some foam tape. I wanted my card to look fun and yet soft. I hope I've achieved both. And I hope you're enjoying the release! :) I'll see you again tomorrow for the full reveal and the blog hop!

Don't forget to check out the other TCM design team members and TCM friends! :)

Jean Martin --> you are here! :)

What would new release festivities be without chances to win prizes? Yep, once again, we'll draw THREE of you to win Baggin Some Rays... one from each of three of the design team and friends blogs. You'll have until 10:00 pm Pacific tonight to make the rounds and leave comments. We'll announce the winners in tomorrow's post. Enjoy and good luck!!!

CASE Study Challenge 46

Hi bloggies! Oh my goodness! I almost forgot to post this!!! I thought I was done for the day when I made my post for TCM's release day and scheduled it to post. It was a good thing I remembered that I HAD to post my CASE Study Challenge 46!!! lol! Like I mentioned earlier, we have guests in the house and I was a little preoccupied. Sorry for posting late...

This is the last week with our very talented June Muse, Jill Foster. Here's her card for this week's challenge.

Here's my take on Jill's beautiful card. I have something completely different this week. I have a dark colored card!!! lol! I wanted to try to use a bit more color than I normally would...I don't know how this one turned out. You have to tell me! :) Be gentle! haha!

I CASEd Jill's embossed panel, and central floral panel. Except I was a lazy crafter and decided to use patterned paper with it instead! I also stamped this gorgeous doily stamp from TCM's Simply Delightful and colored it. I also used the banner stamp from WMS Bitty Banners. I hope you like my card! :) See you over at the CASE Study Challenge Blog!

The Craft's Meow July Release - Day 3

Hi friends! Welcome back to the 3rd Day of The Craft's Meow July Release. I'm hoping you loved yesterday's previews and are excited to see more! Today's preview actually accentuates yesterday's. Of course, as always, it's very versatile...but when I first saw it, I wanted to use it together with Life is a Carnival. I should just show you. :)

Today's preview is It's a Banner Day. Didn't I tell you that it works perfectly with Life is a Carnival?! I just love the different banner designs that this set has. I'm sure you're going to love them too! Are you a bit surprised that my card is a bit on the simple side? Teehee!

I didn't think this needed a lot of "froo-froo". I just wanted to make a simple, fun, summer card. I stamped the images on a vintage cream cardstock and colored the carousel. The banners, I stamped one by one, then fussy cut and attached with foam tape. I hope you like this one as well. I'll be back again tomorrow with another preview!

Don't forget to check out the other TCM design team members and TCM friends! :)

The Craft's Meow July Release - Day 2

Hi friends! Welcome to Day 2 of The Craft's Meow July Release. I'm so excited to share today's sneak peek with everyone! This is my FAVORITE stamp set in the lot and I know you're all going to LOVE it!!! :) I haven't been feeling too crafty this week...and was really glad I created my cards for the release ahead of time. I hope my mojo comes back soon! :)

Let's get on with the sneak peek shall we?! Today's stamp set is called Life is a Carnival. That there doesn't need anymore explanation. Nina has outdone herself this time! This set is a fun and whimsical set with a vintage edge to it. Which is why I LOVE it sooo much! Here's what I came up with...

I stamped the bigger images in the set to make a background panel for my card. And I used these soft colors to mute the images and make them appear more vintage. I also stamped the ticket stubs, cut them, inked the edges and adhered them with foam tape. Foam tape is one of my essential tools in card making. I wouldn't know what to do without it! lol! :)

I die cut this label and stamped my sentiment inside. Isn't that vintage sentiment just darling?! Nina is such a genius!!! :) I hope you like my card for today's peeks! I'll be back again tomorrow for more!

The Craft's Meow July Release - Day 1

Hi bloggies! Welcome to The Craft's Meow July Release - Day 1!!! Have you been enjoying LIsa's sneak peeks??? :) I love this time of the month. I always get excited whenever new stamp sets come out. There's always something for everyone. Let's start off day 1 with Lovely Birds

You are going to LOVE this set. It's completely versatile. It really doesn't matter what your style is...I'm pretty sure you'll be grabbing this lovely set quite frequently! :) Without further ado...here's my card for the July Release - Day 1.

Isn't this little bird bath absolutely sweet?!?! It's my favorite image from the set. I stamped it on vintage cream cardstock, colored it then fussy cut it. I also stamped that little bird and cut it, then attached it to the upper portion of the bird bath.

If you've been to my blog previously, you'll know that I love using lace, ribbons and butterflies. No ribbons here, this lace was enough. But of course I had to have that sweet butterfly sticking out from behind the doily. And I know some people are going to ask...where did I get the butterfly? I got it from Frost It Pink. I die cut the doily from vintage cream cardstock and stamped the doily stamp from TCM's Simply Delightful. I hope you're enjoying Day 1 so far!

Don't forget to check out the other TCM design team members and TCM friends! :)

WMSC 53

Hello bloggies! Sorry the blog hasn't been busy lately. We have relatives staying over for a month and so we've been a little busy. I haven't even joined some of my favorite challenges in quite a while. Sometimes I'm saddened by it...but what can you do? I just hope for a little craft time every day.

I'm back this Saturday for Waltzingmouse Sketch Challenge 53. This week's sketch is by the talented Ms. Belinda Chang Langner. To which, I must admit, to having a bit of a hard time. Hee! :) Here's the sketch for WMSC53.

Here's my take on this sketch challenge. I was at a baby shower a few weeks ago and the color theme was pink. orange and yellow. I must admit, the colors just stuck to me. I usually prefer neutral and pastel colors...but these were just yummy together! :)

For the background, I used my Dainty Doilies - Large Set from WMS. I just love this set. I know I'm not making as much as I can with it. But I'm trying. :) The sentiment is from Join Us, also from WMS. I stamped them on these banners that I die cut. Then I adhered them onto this doily that I also die cut. The dies are from PTI.

Did you notice something with my card this week? There's no lace or ribbon or flower on it!!!! Ahhhhh!!!! Hahaha! lol! :) I hope you like it though! I'll see you over at the Waltzingmouse Sketch Challenge Blog ok?! :) Enjoy your weekend!

As always, don't forget to browse through the cards of the other Mischief Makers as well as Waltzingmouse Stamp Design Team sites.

CASE Study Challenge 45

Hi everyone! Welcome to another round of CASE Study Challenge! Your submissions were just awesome! It was so hard to pick out a favorite. I really admire people who can do different techniques so well. Jill Foster just rocks it! Here's another card for this week's CASE Study Challenge 45.

Can you believe the coloring going on in this card?! It's fabulous. I wish I had more color in my cards...but I'm just too afraid to use them.

For my card, I stamped some flowers on yellow card stock and then I inked the edges to give more depth to the image. I used the same layout, but I didn't go with the differently shaped card. I just love this Orchids stamp set from Flourishes. It's one of my favorite floral images.

I hope you like it. And I hope to see all of you over at the CASE Study Challenge Blog. Come and join us in all of the fun!!! You'll learn a lot of new things and enjoy yourself at the same time. :)

June - All Eyes On You

***Don't forget to check out my card as a Shabby Tea Room Guest Designer...right here.***

Hi bloggies! This is my first All Eyes on You for WPlus9 stamps. And we're supposed to pick a card from the Flicker gallery and CASE it. There were soooo many gorgeous cards there that it took me a while to choose. You know I'm a Sarah Martina Parker fan, and so of course, it's just natural that I gravitate towards her cards. lol! I chose to CASE this card...

I just love how Sarah uses different embellishments and combines them so perfectly. Here's my version of her card.

I used the butterfly from Flora and Fauna 1 to make the background. I stamped it and heat emboss it white, the I covered it with vellum to soften the look. I used Woodgrain Silhouette Additions then die cut it into a tag. Then I added the rest of the embellishments to CASE Sarah's card as much as I could. :) I love the soft colors that I used here, then that punch of bright pink in the center. I can't wait for the next All Eyes on You...this is so much fun! :)

Don't forget to check out the rest of the team! :)

The Shabby Tea Room Week 67 - Guest Designer

Hi friends! I have some fun news! I was lucky enough to be chosen as a winner over at The Shabby Tea Room a month ago. And as a result, I'm guest designing for this week's The Shabby Tea Room Week 67!

This week's inspiration is based on this delicious picture! And it's super cute to boot! :) The challenge involves using polka dots or gingham or both! :) I'm pretty sure a lot of you will love the challenge and inspiration for this week's challenge.

I have two cards for this week. I made one and wasn't so sure about it and decided to make another one a day after. And NOW, I can't decide which one I want to post!!! lol! So I'm just going to post both and cross my fingers that you like them! haha! Here they are...

This is the first card I made. I tried to use as much of the inspiration photo as possible. I used the colors, red and pink as well as the cupcake image. The gingham stamp is from Waltzingmouse Stamps. The cupcake and seed packet stamps are from Papertrey Ink. I tried to keep this one simple and straight forward. I hope you like it. :)

For my second card, I went a bit more...how should I say it...shabby-chicier? lol! I stamped the polka dot background using a PTI background stamp, then I inked the edges with some white metallic paint. I also stamped the gingham from Waltzingmouse Stamps again and laid it on top of the background panel.

And since I can't get enough of this Garden Variety stamp from Papertrey Ink...I HAD to use it again. Only this time, I added more lace and a doily. :) This card didn't coordinate with the inspiration photo as much...but I still used the polka dots and gingham for variety. I was almost sure you would be seeing a ton of red and pink cards. So I made one that wasn't. :) I hope you like this one too!

Head on over to The Shabby Tea Room and join in all the fun! There's more inspiration waiting there for all of you! :)
