The Craft's Meow October Sneak Peeks - Day 5

It's Day 5 of The Craft's Meow October Sneak Peeks. We have one last stamp set to share with everyone.  Today we're showcasing Fall Fun by Jenny Suchin. If you love cutesy images...you will LOVE this set. Here's the sneak peek that Lisa shared with everyone over at The Craft's Meow Store Blog.

And here's my sample for this set. Isn't that image such a darling?! It's just so darn cute I had to make it the focal image of my card. I also used another TCM set here, It's a Banner Day. I stamped and hand cut the banner and stamped the cute acorn image on it.

I stamped the cute turkey image on different patterned papers and layered them one over the other. I just love anything with dimension. I think it adds a lot more interest to the card that way. So whatya think? :) Enjoying the sneak peeks so far? We have one more day to go, the HOP of course! I'll see you there ok? Don't forget to visit the other DT ladies! There are prizes up for grabs when you comment! :)

The Craft's Meow October Sneak Peeks - Day 4

This is my second post for the day. Please scroll down if you're looking for my CASE Study Challenge 59 post.

Welcome to Day 4 of The Craft's Meow October Sneak Peeks! Enjoying yourself? Ready to do some shopping at the end of the week? :) Today's sneak peek preview is Fruity For You by Nina Brackett.  I'm a big fan of Nina's and I always expect fabulous images from her. This one is no different! I totally love it! Have you seen the sneak peek for it?!

I just love the fresh look of this stamp set. I would image that a lot of CAS designers would totally fall in love with this one. But seeing as how I'm one of the shabby chic residents  of TCM, I opted for a more layered and soft look for this set. It's pretty simple really...I just stamped the image on cream card stock, added patterned paper strips and ran it through my sewing machine. I tied a lovely soft orange bow and added a label to stamp my sentiment on. Then I adhered the panel onto some kraft cardstock base.

What do you think of this one? I'm really loving all the colors in this card. There's one more stamp set to be revealed tomorrow. I'll see you then! Don't forget to jet on over to The Craft's Meow Store Blog for some fab prizes! :)

The Craft's Meow October Sneak Peeks - Day 3

Hi again! I hope you enjoyed Day 2 of The Craft's Meow October Sneak Peeks. Let's get on with Day 3! Today we're showing you snippets of Apple Pickin' Time. This one is another cutie! Lots of fun images to color in. So get your Copics ready!!! :)

Here's my sample for this stamp set. I went for sweet and simple with this one. I just stamped the apple tree image straight onto the doily. I layered a background panel that I stamped myself and adhered a lavender patterned paper over it. Then I finished it off with some twine, a button and a little tag.

I wish I was better at coloring. But seeing as how I'm not, it was wonderful to see that these images look good uncolored. Enjoying our sneak peeks so far? The TCM DT has more in store for everyone. So don't forget to check out their blogs! See you again tomorrow for Day 4! :)

The Craft's Meow October Sneak Peeks - Day 2

Hi! I'm back for Day 2 of The Craft's Meow October Sneak Peeks. We're happy to show you little snippets of the Happy Fall stamp set today. This is such a cute set, I'm absolutely sure you'll love it! It has about 10 images and 2 sentiments. People who love to color with just "Fall" for this one! ;)

I went for a completely different look this time. Fall has always been connected to yellows, orange, browns, but I wanted something else for this cute set. I brought in some white and light blues. Of course orange is still in there some how lol!

I stamped and cut out the pumpkin and the leaves and layered them with foam tape. Then I adhered them to the seed packet cover. I like that it has a garden feel to it. We don't have pumpkins in the Philippines, at least I've never seen one there. I think it might be because of the weather. But I would love to see a pumpkin patch one day! :)

After this head on over to the other TCM girls, they have more to show you! :) See you again tomorrow!

The Craft's Meow October Sneak Peeks - Day 1

It's the end of the month, and time for another fabulous release from The Craft's Meow. TCM has 5 fun sets for the October release. Let's start off with the first one shall we? Today's sneak peek is from As We Gather Together.

It's a Thanksgiving/Fall stamp set just in time for November. I know a lot of you would want to start early. In fact, after I finish with all the releases I wanted to start on my Christmas cards! lol!

This set has 5 images, 1 border, and 6 sentiments. A lot to go around wouldn't you say? :) Here's my sample for As We Gather Together.

I went for fall colors, and tried to keep the layering down to a minimum. In truth, I wanted to try to make a one layer card with this one. But I just COULDN'T. I couldn't stop myself from layering and adding lace and ribbon. :) What do you think? I can't wait to show you more! After this, make sure you head on over to the other TCM girls! See y'all tomorrow!

Waltzingmouse Sketch Challenge 66

Hi everyone! I was so caught up with what I was doing tonight that I almost forgot to post my WMSC 66!!! So many new shows started showing! Did you see X-Factor? And Grey's Anatomy?! OMGoodness! lol! Ren and I are TV/Movie people. :)

It's Saturday, and time for another Waltzingmouse Sketch Challenge. This week we have a tricky one. It's a CIRCLE card! I'm sooo bad with circle cards. But WMSC has been pushing me from my safe place (lol!). I'm sure it's good practice. so...here's WMSC 66! :)

Here's my card for this sketch. I moved things around a bit...I've been having so much fun making Halloween cards that I can't seem to stop. I hope you don't mind! :)

I used Text It to make my background. I layered some images over the text to make a scene. The stars, sentiment, and witch are from Midnight Feast and the bats are from Halloween Party. Of course, you can also count on Victorian Frippery to make a nice pattern. I thought this was perfect for what I wanted to do.

I'll see you over at WMSC! Enjoy your weekend! And don't forget to go through the other Mischief Makers and WMS Design Team to check out their samples. :)

WPlus9 September All Eyes On

Hey everyone! I have WPlus9 card for you today. This is for the WPlus9 September All Eyes On. We're going for a seasonal theme this month with Season of Thanks. It'll be great inspiration for those who want to make Fall/Thanksgiving cards ahead of time.

Coming from a country that does not celebrate Thanksgiving and has no Fall season, I just thought of all the good things that come to my mind when I think of fall. In the 3 years that I've been here my favorite thing about fall is the fabulous splash of warm colors on the trees. That's what I tried to bring to my card. Here it is...

I kept it simple by stamping a text background with Defining Words. Then I took the colors that I loved about fall and stamped the beautiful leaf image on the side of the panel. I also stamped the sentiment "window", cut and inked the edges. I added some lace to soften the look a little. Enjoy your week! :)

Waltzingmouse Sketch Challenge 65 and September WMS Blog Waltz

Today's a double card day. It's Waltzingmouse Sketch Challenge 65 as well as September WMS Blog Waltz. I wanted to combine them in one post so you wouldn't have to scroll all the way down just to see the other. Let's get started with Waltzingmouse Sketch Challenge 65 with a sketch by our very own Anya. I was so excited when I saw it, because it had sooo much potential Shabby Chic potential.

Here's my sample for the sketch. I re-sized the panels to fit what I had in mind. I found this beautiful piece of patterned paper. I'm sorry but I don't know from which collection it came from. But I really loved the combination of the soft green with the kraft.

I used Say It Loud for the sentiment. And I didn't have an edge die that matched the sketch so I just stamped Very Vintage Labels No. 18 and adhered it beneath the front panel of my card. I hope you like my simple card for the sketch challenge. I'll see you all over there!

Onto the September WMS Blog Waltz. The theme for this month's blog waltz is anything Halloween related. And I'm still really, really fixated on my Midnight Feast and Halloween Party. So I used both on my card.

I layered the images on my card with some double sided foam tape. And inked EVERYTHING! lol! :) I tried twirling the twine I used on the button. I keep seeing it everywhere now and thought it was pretty. It took a while but I finally managed to do it.

I can't wait to see what everyone made for the Waltz! :)

WPlus9 September Release: A Pocketful

Hi all! It's FRIDAY! Yay! :) I have one last post for the WPlus9 September Release. This stamp set is A Pocketful....and it literally is! There's a lot of fun images that can be used in so many different ways.

Details

  • is a 6x8 clear photopolymer stamp set
  • contains 32 stamps; 4 pocket images, 11 accent images and 17 sentiments and sentiment builders
  • will be available for purchase September 5th for just $19

For my sample, I used the flowers to make a border on the bottom of my card. I wanted to do that as soon as I got the stamps in! lol! And instead of denim jeans, I went with a khaki pant pocket instead. It seemed to blend in better with the colors that I chose for my card.

I love the idea of the pockets, because you can put anything you want in there...and from ANY stamp set you might have in your stash. And vice versa, the images in this stamp set can be used for other things than just filling the pockets as I have done here. I guess it's all up to your imagination.

I hope you've enjoyed my cards for this month's WPlus9 release. Head on over to the store and blog for more inspiration! :)

WPlus9 September Release: A Pocketful: Halloween

I just love Halloween! It's the perfect excuse to have and give some candy away! Now don't get me started on the cute costumes we see the kids parading in each year. I remember how extravagant the house decorations were in our village back home in the Philippines. And even here, now that I'm in New York, I can't believe how far people take their decorating to! It's just a completely fun holiday. :)

Which is why I was absolutely taken with A Pocketful: Halloween. The images are soooo cute!  I actually found myself using it with another WPlus9 stamp set (Hope Seed Co.). That's how versatile it is. You just have to see it to know what I mean...

Details

  • is a 4x6 clear photopolymer stamp set
  • contains 11 stamps; 4 images and 7 sentiments/sentiment builders.
  • will be available for purchase September 5th for just $13

I wanted to make a rustic Halloween card with my stamps. I stamped the cute cobweb image onto the background patterned paper. I inked and tore the edges to make it look old. Then I stamped the frame from Hope Seed Co. and stamped the bats right on it. I almost forgot to mention...isn't that sentiment brilliant!!! I LOVE it! :)

Instead of my usual flowers and buttons...I stamped and hand cut pumpkins from Season of Thanks. I find that combining stamps from different sets is always a good idea. I hope you've enjoyed my samples for WPlus9's September Release! :)

Class Act

  • will be available for purchase September 5th for just $19

Designer Basics: Classroom Backgrounds

Details

  • is a 6x8 clear photopolymer stamp set
  • contains 5 background building stamps
  • will be available for purchase September 5th for just $19

Here's my sample for these two wonderful stamp sets. I'm a very forgetful person and so I like to keep lists with me of things I have to do so that I won't forget them at the end of the day. Sometimes, I need to make lists when I'm out and I find myself without anything to write on. So I thought it would be great to make a little pocket with some list cards in it.

I used the Vintage Envelope Die to make the little pocket where I could keep my reminder cards. I stamped the Classroom Backgrounds on a piece of cardstock. Then I stamped the bird's nest from C'est la Vie in a very light taupe ink to keep it muted and soft. The sentiment is from Class Act of course.

As for the card, I took the design of the pocket and embellished it with some lace and ribbon.  I thought it would be a great card to give to teacher. I've kept the design soft and vintage.

Head on over to the WPlus9 store and blog for more inspiration! The other DT members have wonderful samples for everyone! :)

Waltzingmouse Sketch Challenge 64

Yay it's finally the weekend! I would love some time to join my favorite online challenges. And speaking of my favorite online challenges...here's one for you! It's Saturday, and of course it's also time for Waltzingmouse Sketch Challenge 64.

Our wonderful sketch for this week is from our very talented Miss Anya Schrier.

Something new is brewing over at the Waltzingmouse Sketch Challenge...you'll have to find out by going there! Hee! :)

Let's get on with my card for this week shall we? I just love this sketch! It gives you absolute freedom to make your own background panel! I've often tried to use my stamps in combination to make backgrounds. This was practice for me. :)

I used two stamps from Faux Fun to make the base of my background panel. Then I stamped, colored and cut out this beautiful flower from Roses In Bloom. I layered it just to add a little more dimension to the card since it is flat.

I also used the banner from Bitty Banner and my sentiment is from Fancy Phrases. I inked the edges of EVERYTHING! Just because I can't imagine not doing so. lol! :)

I hope to see all of you in another round of Waltzingmouse Sketch Challenge! See you there! :) And don't forget to check out the other Mischief Makers and WMS Design Team!

Moxie Fab World: Tuesday Trigger #2

This is my second post for the day...please scroll down for my first one! :)

Like I said in my previous post...I LOVE this trigger! So I made another card for it! The colors and patterns are gorgeous! I'm going to re-post the Moxie Fab World Tuesday Trigger: Garden Glory just in case you missed it.

For my second submission, I went a little different this time. I added more layers and it's a bit on the vintage-shabby chic side. My inspiration were the colors and patterns of this trigger. Here it is...I hope you like it!

I stamped my own background paper for this card as well. I used Papertrey Ink's Background Basics: Retro on the lower layer of the card. The upholstery pattern on that chair reminded me of this stamp. It's actually one of my favorite background stamps in my collection.

On the second layer, I stamped Text It (WMS) and inked it with aqua and Antique Linen. Then I stamped Mehndi Medallions (PTI) on each corner using a light gray pigment ink. I sewed the two panels together to add more texture to the card.

I also layered some labels from WMS. These are two stamps from Vintage Labels No. 18. I layered them one on top of the other. Then I stamped and die cut the intricate label from Recipe Box Label (PTI). The sentiment is from WMS Frame It.

The flower is from PTI's Simple Sunflower. I die cut it and stamped it. The silhouette is from Webster's Pages. I'm loving this card more than the other! But I'm submitting them both for the Tuesday Trigger. Ciao! :)

Moxie Fab World: Tuesday Trigger: Garden Glory

Hi bloggies! Update on Cirque du Soleil: Zarkana...it was FANTASTIC! Absolutely breathtaking and entertaining! Did I also mention that I used a Groupon code to score 56% off on the tickets?! The city was very busy, there was a street fair on 6th Ave. A lot of people were shopping and eating on the streets. It was a great weekend. :)

I found the Tuesday Trigger inspirational photo over at Moxie Fab World today. Have you seen it?! If you haven't, you HAVE to. It's stunning! I was so inspired to make a card right after I saw it. I just got my Papertrey Ink happy mail today, unfortunately there was one die that was missing from it. I guess it was back ordered...so I have to wait for it to get here. But the rest of the package was there and I had new toys to play with! :)

Here's that gorgeous Tuesday Trigger inspirational photo from Tuesday Trigger: Garden Glory.

Here's my take on the picture. I loved the color combination! It grabbed my attention as soon as I saw it, and I HAD to get inky!!!

I stamped Harvest Berries in green to make a background panel. I had more ideas for it using the dies but it didn't arrive with my package. So it's nice and flat here. I also stamped the sentiment from the same stamp set in the center. I inked the edges with Antique Linen, because it just wouldn't be my card if I didn't! lol!

I also layered patterned papers to make a band for the lower portion of my card. And I also added some lace in an attempt to make it feel softer and more feminine. Then I stamped this gorgeous Mehndi Medallion, die cut it, and layered it with a brad on top of the band.

I love this trigger so much! I think I'll be making another one with it in a short while! :) Enjoy your week! And I hope you liked my card today.
