The Craft's Meow November Sneak Peek - Day 3

Hi friends! I just got back from an out of town trip with my family. I'm glad to see that my scheduled posts went up as planned. There was a little mix up in the order of things but that;s ok. At least everything is there. I'll post pictures of our trip after the sneak peeks so I won't take away from what I'm show casing.

Let's get on with Day 3 of The Craft's Meow November Sneak Peeks. How have you been enjoying it so far? Aren't they wonderful?! :) Today, we're featuring Vintage Snowflakes and Vintage Ornaments from Nina Brackett. I just have to say WOW! You're going to love these!!! I made two cards today, and I've combined the two sets for my cards.

Can you believe I made a single layered card? heehee! The images are just so beautiful that I didn't need any layering for my card at all. I combined this beautiful circle with the intricate snowflake design from Vintage Ornaments and alternated it with the delicate snowflake from Vintage Snowflakes. The sentiment is also from Vintage Snowflakes. This set contains other beautifully designed sentiments. And I enjoyed using it a lot.

I distressed the sides of the vintage cream cardstock just to add a little texture and vintage feel to the card. How do you like it so far? :) I have one more up my sleeve...

For this one, I stamped a background using Vintage Snowflakes. Then I stamped a Vintage Ornament in red and added more snowflakes on the top. Unfortunately there's no die for the Vintage Ornaments, but it was easy to hand cut anyway. Perhaps Spellbinders might make one after seeing this stamp set. :)

I used another gorgeous sentiment from Vintage Snowflakes. It's absolutely perfect for the rest of the ornaments and the snowflakes. Just to add a little shabby chic to my card, I adhered some lace on the bottom portion of the panel and tied some twine.

Have you been to The Craft's Meow blog to check out what the rest of the DT members made? Be sure to drop by! Lisa always has a prize in store for some lucky people! :) Thanks for stopping by! I'll be back for another round! :)

Waltzingmouse Sketch Challenge 71

Hi friends! Time to get your Waltzingmouse Stamps inky again! It's Waltzingmouse Sketch Challenge 71. Our sketch this week is from Kelly. This sketch was just waiting to be "Shabby Chic-ed" lol! So I brought out my ribbons and lace to deck my card out.

I made a background panel using my favorite border from Victorian Frippery. It's not obvious in the picture, but I actually used some Mod Podge and some tissue paper on top of that panel. I wanted to give it some texture. Too bad you can't see it in the photo though. It came out nice though, I believe I saw the technique used by Betsy Veldman once and I wanted to try it.

I die cut and stamped Very Vintage Labels No. 18 and added my sentiment over it. The sentiment is from Say It Loud. I love stamping it and cutting it out then adhering it with some foam tape. I added the pearls for a little more bling.

I added the ribbon, lace and this beautiful lace butterfly from Martha Stewart. I found it by accident at Michael's. I think it's really pretty and delicate. I also put some pearl stick pins through the ribbon because you can't have enough bling on a card. hee! I hope you enjoyed this one. I'll see you over at Waltzingmouse Sketch Challenge. I can't wait to see what you make of this sketch! Thanks for stopping by!

The Craft's Meow November Sneak Peek - Day 2

Hi! Welcome back to The Craft's Meow November Sneak Peek! For Day 2 we're focusing on Season's Greetings. This set has a very intricate and stunning label perfect for the holidays. It also has these gorgeous, elegant sentiments you'll surely love.

I'm an absolute sucker for labels. I can't have enough of them. And didn't I say the sentiments in this set are elegant? It's so beautiful. I layered some patterned papers on my card and centered my label. I was playing around with the color combination. I hope it worked for me this time. :) I also added a snowflake border on the bottom. The snowflake stamp is from The Merry Best stamp set.

I'm going to start making my Christmas cards as soon as I get home. These stamp sets are so much fun to work with. We'll have you inky in no time. yet? Sneak peeks are always so exciting! Come back tomorrow for Day 3! Thanks for stopping by! :)

The Craft's Meow November Sneak Peek - Day 1

Welcome to Day 1 of The Craft's Meow November Sneak Peek! TCM has an array of wonderful Christmas stamp sets this month! I had so much fun working with them and I'm so excited to share them with you!!! In today's sneak peek, we're focusing on The Merry Best stamp set.

This set has a lot of images perfect for your Christmas and Winter cards. My favorite are these cute little trees! I stamped them side by side using some Lime Green chalk ink and some Aqua pigment ink. I tried placing them on the bottom in the beginning but ended up with them on top. I wanted them to be highlighted and placing them on the top did the job.

I also stamped some snowflakes on the bottom and made it into a "border". This sentiment is my favorite one from the entire set. I love that it's so bold and it catches your attention immediately. I added some lace beneath the label, I though it looked like snow and that it would be perfect right there. No ribbons on this one.

Don't forget to come back tomorrow for Day 2! Hop on over to the other TCM girls, they made wonderful cards for Day 1! Thanks for stopping by! :)

Waltzingmouse Sketch Challenge 70

Hey everyone! While you're reading this right now, I'm in a plane somewhere up there! :) Hee! And even if I am...I wouldn't leave you high and dry without anything for WMSC 70. We have a super cute sketch from our sweet Kelly this week! I'm pretty sure you'll have a lot of fun with it. Here we go...

Super cute isn't it?! It's still Halloween month...so I made a Halloween party invitation. I have been enjoying making Halloween cards so much. These Waltzingmouse Stamps are awesome. Too bad I didn't have enough time to get the new one that came out. I'll be sure to get them for next year though. If you haven't seen the new sets that came out you have to head on over to the store and look! :)

I used Halloween Party stamp set for the invitation sentiment and the cute mask. I also used Midnight Feast to make a background for my card. I just love that window, it's great to use as a background stamp as well as for the main image in my cards. It's a pretty simple card, but I think it packs a lot of punch. The stamps are doing everything for me, I don't even have to lift a finger.

I hope you enjoyed that. Please join us for some inky fun over at Waltzingmouse Sketch Challenge! See you there! :)

Waltzingmouse Sketch Challenge 69

This is my second post for the day...make sure to check out  my The Craft's Meow October Card Sketch Challenge post. Scroll down please.

One more week and I'll see my mom and family again! I'm so excited! Don't worry though, I've made most of my DT cards ahead of time and hopefully won't be missing a beat even though I'm half way across the world. I'll also update my blog with my travels along the way. :)

Today's my birthday! It's also my husband's birthday! :) Yes, we share the same birthday. Too bad we won't get to spend it with my family. But seeing them again is well worth it.
I'm off for the rest of the day to have some fun with my hubby. We're not doing anything too special though, we're saving it for our vacation next week. I'll make sure to have pictures up to show you! :)

Speaking of DT cards, it's time for Waltzingmouse Sketch Challenge 69. Before I became a Mischief Maker, I used to join the WM Sketch Challenge a lot. They had wonderful sketches and sometimes very TRICKY ones too. It hasn't changed at all. This week, we have one tricky, TRICKY sketch challenge for everyone. You'll see what I mean...

Didn't I say it was tricky? As you all know, I'm not very good with 3D projects...I'm leaving that up to the very capable hands of my fellow Mischief Makers. But I do have a card for everyone this week. It's kind of a "cheat" card...lol!

I didn't have any stamps with a hat on it, so I stamped a witch with a HAT on. :) She from the Halloween Party Stamp Set. Are you liking my "cheat" card so far? I kept the colors pretty simple, a bit of change from the orange, and purple don't you think? I used Very Vintage Labels No. 18 to add my sentiment to. I thought this stamp has beautiful details on it and looked really perfect for a Halloween card. I also added some Victorian Frippery to add a little more detail to the bottom of the card.

Make sure to check out the other Mischief Makers. The variety of projects will amaze you! See you at Waltzingmouse Sketch Challenge! Come and play! :)

The Craft's Meow October Card Sketch Challenge

Welcome to The Craft's Meow October Card Sketch Challenge.  TCM has a sweet little card sketch for everyone this month. It's very open for interpretation and a lot of room for stamping!

I used one of my favorite stamp sets from The Craft's Meow, Simply Delightful. I stamped the beautiful doily stamp on a panel with text background. Then I stamped it again in aqua and hand cut the center. I colored parts of it with a light gray Copic marker. Then I adhered some pearls on it. I layered it on top of the stamped doily with foam tape for some dimension.

I tied it all in with some light gray ribbon and some lace on the side. I changed the layout of the sentiment and just stamped it on a tag. I have several die cut tags to save time. I usually use Vintage Cream anyway, so I made several pieces of it. I also used my favorite twine and wooden button. Head on over to The Craft's Meow Blog and come and play! :)

Waltzingmouse Sketch Challenge 68

Did you see the sneak peek at Claire's blog today?! Gorgeous detailing!!! I'm so excited to see the release on October 15th. Which is perfect since it's also my birthday, and I have the excuse of buying myself something this year! hehe. :)

I'm also giving you, my dear friends, a heads up, I'm going back to the Philippines for another vacation. This time it's really going to be a vacation, since I won't be spending it at the hospital. My mom is doing better and she wants to see me and Ren. We're leaving on October 21st. It's going to be a loong vacation, a month probably. But I'm trying to get my DT card assignments ready so I won't miss much. And you'll still see me here even if I'm half way across the world. :)

We have a new sketch for Waltzingmouse Sketch Challenge 68. It's a very whimsical sketch which also leaves a lot of options open for everyone. I hope to see more people playing this week! Here's the sketch...

And here's my card. I don't know why, but when I saw this sketch I immediately wanted to use my Bitty Banners stamp set. I used a piece of canvas and stamped it straight on. You can get them cheap at Michael's in 12x12 size. I also wanted to combine it with Back in the Saddle. Isn't it such a great sentiment set though?! I was thinking of a Cowgirl Birthday Party when I was making this card. I hope it looks like it hee! :)

I combined Cameo Creations and Cameo to Go for my little embellishment. Stamped them on a die cut oval and added the scalloped oval for more contrast. I wish I had those little wooden laundry pins. I should look for them. It would have been perfect to add them to my card.

That's it for me! Come over and join in all the inky fun over at Waltzingmouse Sketch Challenge! See you there! :)

WPlus9 October Release Day - Group Post

Hi everyone! I'm back for the last day of the WPlus9 October Release. I hope you've seen all of the samples from the rest of the DT and are excited to go do some shopping. It's always a good idea to start early on those Christmas cards! :) And don't forget the FREE Dear Santa set with every purchase of $30 or more!

Here's my card for the Group Post. I used Christmas Wishes as the focal point for my card. I stamped it and heat embossed it with gold embossing powder. I stamped some polka dots on the background to add a little punch of color. I also added the little white pom poms for a little "wintery" effect. I loved using the gold ribbon just to make the card more festive.

I also used this label stamp for something other than Christmas. Scroll down to see the card I made with it. I love how elegant it looks. It would also be great for party invitations as well! I hope you've enjoyed the WPlus9 October Release. Don't forget to go to Dawn's blog to see the entire Group Post. Thanks for stopping by! :)

Tuesday Trigger: Treat Yourself and Timeless Tuesday #125

Hey everyone! I made a card for two challenges tonight. I've missed being a part of these challenges coz I'm always busy with releases and my DT projects. I saw the Tuesday Trigger: Treat Yourself, over at Moxie Fab World and just loved the colors all around. I also saw that my friend Heather Jensen is hosting Timeless Tuesday 125 with a Friend Theme for this week. But it looks like I didn't make it in time. Oh well...

Here's the Tuesday Trigger for you.

Here's my card. I'm still on "WPlus9 mode" so most of the stamps I've used are from WPlus9 and the rest are from Papertrey Ink. The background is from Defining Words, the label is from our new October Release, Christmas Wishes, and the autumn leaves are from Season of Thanks.

I just love using these colors. Yellow, brown and cream is one of my fave color combos. Thanks Moxie Fab for the inspiration! :) I'll see you all again tomorrow for the WPlus9 group post. Don't forget to check out Dawn's blog for the full October Release

WPlus9 October Sneak Peek - Day 4

Whew it's only Monday and it's already crazy at work. Whenever I have the time, I try to squeeze in some crafting at night. It relaxes me a lot and gets my mind off work. It's Day 4 of the WPlus9 October Sneak Peeks, and today is the free for all day. We can use whatever stamp set we want from the October Release. By the way, how are you enjoying it? :)

I have a girly winter card for everyone today. You ladies know I love to layer, so here's my layered card. I combined previous WPlus9 stamps to make my card. I could always see the Mehndi Medallions as snowflakes whenever I needed it to. This time is no different. I used them to make a background panel for my card.

I also used the label and die from Le Cirque. I stamped the mittens (from Winter Wishes) on the label, stamped them again on some cream cardstock, hand cut and adhered them over the previously stamped ones to add more dimension to the card. I also used the ticket stamp from Le Cirque to put my sentiment (from Winter Wishes) on.

We have one more day for the release. Tomorrow is the groups post, so make sure you hop on over to Dawn's blog to check out everyone's work! Enjoy your day! Thanks for stopping by. :)

WPlus9 October Sneak Peek - Day 3

It's Day 3 of the WPlus9 October Sneak Peeks and WPlus9 has more stamp sets to show you. We're show-casing Dear Santa today. It's a small stamp set with a whole lot of detail. It's also being given as a FREE gift for all purchases $30 and over during the entire month of October!

I have something I've been so excited to show you since I made it. You already know that I like to make Christmas cards with different color schemes aside from the usual ones we see every year. With that I mind, I made this...

I used Fair Isle Backgrounds and Winter Wishes to make borders on the top and bottom of the card. It's really fun to mix and match colors and stamps using the Fair Isle Backgrounds. You'll never know what you'll come up with.

I stamped the Dear Santa and hand cut it. I layered it over a die cut star with some foam tape. It's also perfect as a list topper, Dawn made a great sample right here. We've got more cards to show you until Wednesday. Make sure you come back tomorrow ok? Thanks for stopping by! :) Don't forget to check out the other DT members, they have fabulous samples to show you.

WPlus9 October Sneak Peek - Day 2

Can you believe it's October already? It just seems so fast! I wasn't able to greet everyone Happy World Card Making Day, but I do have a card for you all today! :) Did everyone have a nice inky World Card Making Day? I know I did. I made my cards for the WPlus9 Sneak Peeks and I'm almost done with everything. Have you seen Dawn's blog?! OMGosh! She has jaw dropping cards for Day 1.

Today, I'm sharing another set from the release called Christmas Wishes. This one is a gorgeous, ornate label perfect for the holidays.

I also used Winter Wishes; from Day 1, to make my background panel. I stamped the cute images in three different colors to make each one pop. I like using colors other than red and green together when making my Christmas cards. I just think the red and green has been used waaay too much. lol! :)

I also added some bling to add a bit of sparkle. That's what I love about the holidays...all the glam and sparkle! I was at Michael's this morning and they had tree ornaments out. The glass and glittery ones are just stunning. I can't wait to decorate!!!

Oooh I almost forgot to mention...there are prizes up for grabs! Just leave a comment over at Stamp Away With Me and Dawn will pick out a random number for the winner! Yay!

Done here? Check out the rest of the DT! :) See you all tomorrow!

Waltzingmouse Sketch Challenge 67

Wow! Boy do I have it cut out for me today! I have 3 posts for today, I hope you browse through each one of them. My second post is for WMSC67. We have a tag for this week's project. It's actually perfect since I was really thinking of making some for the holidays. Of course it doesn't have to be a Christmas tag, you can come up with a Halloween theme or Fall theme. We're leaving it entirely up to you! :)

I went for a Christmas tag with mine. I wanted something simple that I could make in multiples really quickly. I'm not through using this lovely stars background stamp, remember it's from Midnight Feast? YES, you can use it for something other than Halloween themed projects. I also added this festive label from Holiday labels No. 14. ALL Waltzingmouse labels are awesome. It's one of the things I love the most about WMS. :) What can I say, I'm a label girl!

The sentiment is from Compliments of the Season. This has got to be my favorite sentiment set. I can see myself using this over and over for years to come. I just love all the detail that each sentiment has. Claire is just brilliant! :) I added some lace ribbon to soften it a bit. And I also added twine as well.

Don't forget to check out the other Mischief Makers and the WMS Design Team! Come join us for another fun round of inking and stamping! :) See you there!
