Waltzingmouse Sketch Challenge 97

Hello again! It's finally the weekend. If you're anything like me, you do most of your crafting on the weekends. If that's so, then it's always nice to have a few challenges you can join. It's Saturday, welcome to Waltzingmouse Sketch Challenge 97! :)

Here's our sketch for this week. This one's from Lynn.

And here's what I came up with.

It's pretty simple really. I layered some patterned paper over my card base. I used WPlus9's Kraft cardstock. If you don't know yet, WPlus9 is offering three new sets of cardstock, white, kraft and oatmeal. It's a very good quality kraft cardstck. I've been using it a lot in my cards lately.

On the top most patterned paper, I heat embossed a doily image from Dainty Doilies - Large Set. Then I stamped this beautiful butterfly from Nordic Spring. I inked it with Simply Chartreuse in the middle then Ocean Tides on the edges.

I wanted a simple sentiment to match the card, and this one was perfect. I just love sentiments that combine different fonts. This one is from Frame It. I notched the sides of the front of the card and tied some twine around it. I also added pearls on the back of the butterfly to add a little "bling".

I hope you like this one. I'll see you over at the Waltzingmouse Sketch Challenge! Thanks for stopping by today! Enjoy the rest of your weekend! :)
