Waltzingmouse Sketch Challenge 115

Hi there! It's been a tiring week. I'm so glad it's finally the weekend. I've been busy helping a friend plan for a baby shower so I haven't had a lot of time to make cards to post here. I'm done for most part, I just need to print and cut the gift tags for the give-aways. I'm so glad for my Silhouette, otherwise I would probably be punching out the tags...all 50 of them one by one!

I'm not leaving you completely empty handed of course! It's Saturday, so it's time for Waltzingmouse Sketch Challenge 115. I'm still into the Halloween I made another Halloween card for this week. Here's the inspiration sketch that you'll all have to work with.

Here's what I came up with. I had a little trouble deciding what to do with the little squares in the window. The ny DH said to make them into "windows" and so I did...

I stamped the witch image and cut it into four panels and placed them like they were "windows".

I stamped my background panel with stars and the gate from Hocus Pocus. Then I ran it through my Cuttlebug to give it the nice wood grain look.

I then die cut a piece of vellum label and stamped my sentiment on it.

Please join us for a little inky fun over at Waltzingmouse Sketch Challenge. I'll see you all there!

  1. Brilliant! I really like the texture with the wood grain background. And the window image with that gorgeous fence is fab! Great use of vellum for the sentiment label.

  2. Such a great card, I like the windows idea a lot. The vellum looks so effective as well x

  3. Fabulous Jean, that with is awesome and the vellum sentiment is so cool over the woodgrain embossing.

  4. Adore the windowpanes and vellum sentiment Stars, woodgrain, and twine...perfect! Hubby did good!!!
