WPlus9 June 2013 Release Group Post

I can't believe it's time for the WPlus9 Group Post already. It seems only a few days ago I was having so much fun playing with my new WPlus9 stamps. :) Have you been to the WPlus9 Design Studio to see the Full Reveal yet? I hope you liked everything that you saw. Dawn's designs are always amazing! Don't you think?

Here's my card for the group post....I used my favorite set out of the release...Fresh Cut Florals. I stamped the flowers and leaves onto their coordinating die cuts and built a wreath. I also stamped one of the leaf images in several places and embossed it gold. I thought that brought more elegance to the card.

I stamped several color combinations before coming up with this. It's quite fun to change up the colors. It completely changes the mood of the card. I also stamped and embossed the sentiment from Strictly Sentiments 2 in gold to tie things together. Here's a close up of the flowers. I just adhered them onto the cardstock with some glue. But you can change it up a bit and add dimension by adhering them at different heights using foam tape. I imagine that would look quite beautiful too! :)

I once mentioned that I stamp a lot of color combinations on some scratch paper for testing. Someone wanted to see what my scratch papers looked like and another person wanted to see how I come up with my color combinations. Well...here it is! :) There's more of it, but I crumpled most of them before I remembered that I had to take a picture of them. :)

Nothing special. I just stamp away like a mad stamper! lol! I combine colors that I think will go well and I use the images I want to use to see if they will look good in the colors that I've chosen. I also look at Pinterest a lot for inspiration. It can be anything from packaging, a table setting, a dress...etc.

I made a second card for today's Group Post. This one is more on the cutesy side. For my second card, I used Sweets & Treats and Backgrounds & Borders. I used one of the sentiments from Sweets & Treats to make most of my background paper. Then just added a border from Backgrounds & Borders on the bottom.

I  die cut some circles out of a few scraps of patterned paper. Then I adhere my cupcakes on them. I added a little pink bow to finish things off.

There you go! What do you think? I've enjoyed this release so much! I hope it's obvious in my work! :) Thank you sooo much for all your kind words. They give me a boost every time and bring some sunshine to my days.

If you're done here, please head on over to the other ladies' blogs for more inspiration. The rest of the ladies will be joining us a little later on this month, so watch out for that! :)
