Waltzingmouse Stamps August 2013 Release Previews - Day 1

Hi there! It's finally time for another Waltzingmouse Stamps Release! Welcome to Day 1! Today we're featuring three stamp sets, Tying the Knot, Safe Harbor Sentiments, and Ocean BoundsI have a whole "boat load" of projects to show you! ;) So hang on, grab a cup of coffee or tea and join me!

My first project is a nautical party set. It reminded me of my nephew Ryan who's birthday is coming up this September. He would love a nautical party...if only he wasn't half way across the globe, I would probably make several of these for him. :)

I used Ocean Bound and Tying the Knot for this set. I stamped the life saver, colored it in with Copics and used my Exacto knife to cut it. I placed it over some twine which was absolutely perfect for my theme. Then I stamped the sentiments above and below it. The background stamp is included in the release, but we'll be featuring that another day. I also stamped the "rope" border stamp on the bottom.

I decorated a little bottle with the same life saver and added a little seahorse flag to the straw.

I also made a little tag for the gift bag.

And I made a place card for the birthday boy.

For my second project, I made a little Wedding Congratulations card. It's a CAS card. I used the same blue strip of cardstock and embossed the knotted heart using white embossing ink. Then I stamped the sentiment above it. This was made with Tying the Knot.

For my last project, I did a little masking to make my bands of pinstripes.

I stamped the corded circle and die cut it. Then I heat embossed the ship which I later fussy cut. There will be cut files for these, but I was being lazy. Since I have such a small craft space, I have to bring out my Cameo every time I have to use it. So most of the time I just hand cut stuff unless I'm working on a LOT of projects. I used Ocean Bound on the front of the project.

I stamped a message inside using Safe Harbor SentimentsI think it adds a lot to have something stamped inside the card as well.

Whew! There you go! I hope you enjoyed that! For more inspiration, head on over to the WMS blog as well as the other DT members. Come back tomorrow for Day 2 of the WMS August Release Previews! Thanks for stopping by today! :)
