Hi everyone! Waltzing Mouse Stamps has another card challenge this weekend. I just bought a Spellbinders Nestabilities Label 4 die and I was dying to test it out. Waltzing Mouse Stamp's sketch was just perfect! I'm actually waiting for some stamp sets that coordinate with some of the labels I've been starting to collect. I was so delighted to find out that Waltzing Mouse Stamps has coordinating stamp sets too!!! I can't wait to order them!!!
Until then, this is what I came up with. I love these small flowers. I bought a whole bunch of them in different colors at a fabric supply store. I think you can buy them at Michael's or AC Moore as well though. Here it is, enjoy!
Supplies:
Cardstock - kraft, white (PTI)
Patterned Paper - K & Company
Stamp - sentiment (SU)
Ink - brown, light blue (Colorbox)
Others - paper flowers, rhinestones, thread
GORGEOUS background, and love the way you have the twine wrapped! The flowers are perfect around your frame, fab job with this sketch!
ReplyDeleteSo simple and lovely, Jean! Those flowers are so pretty, and I love the wrapped threads!
ReplyDeleteHi Jean, nice job on this challenge, I have done mine but not posted it yet, but we both used similar flowers... yay!!
ReplyDeletePS CASE means Copy and Share Everything, a term given on Splitcoaststampers, there are challenges that encourage you to CASE other's work.
PPS You think Copics are expensive in the States, you should see the price in Australia...ouch!!! But well worth the investment, and you only need a dozen or so to get you started... sorry to post this in your comments, I had trouble finding an email address for you!!
Love the plaid background, and the roses are beautiful, I need to get some myself!! Pauline x

ReplyDeleteLadies, you can buy a whole bunch of flowers (plastic i believe) from Michael's and AC Moore then just cut them from the stems! :)
ReplyDeleteEdna: After reading you say that about Copics I really want to start getting them now. Haha! :)
