Hello again! I'm so glad it's finally the weekend. It's been such a busy week with very little time for any crafting. And since dh and I are going on vacation in a little over a week's time I have to scurry and make all my DT cards and posts ahead of time.
Let's get to one shall we? Welcome to Waltzingmouse Sketch Challenge 119! We have some news about the challenges. Starting with this challenge, WMS is lifting the restriction of using at least 1 WMS stamp in the challenges. So if you don't have a WMS stamp that's ok! You can still join in on the fun. The only glitch is that cards without any WMS image on it will not be eligible to win the give away prize.
Let's start with this week's sketch! This one is from Becca Feeken.
Here's what I made with this sketch. When I first saw the sketch I was envisioning a Halloween card. But then I pulled out ALL of my WMS stamps and started going through them one by one to find something that would spark an idea. I came across 2011 Holiday Ornaments and thought it would be PERFECT for this sketch.
I stamped the ornaments and die cut them with an SB coordinating die. Then I inked the edges to soften the look. On my main background panel, I stamped an image from Faux Fun repeatedly to make it look like a knit background.
My sentiment is from Compliments of the Season. I stamped it on a strip of vintage cream carstock and tied some twine around it. Then I added a button to replace the flower in the sketch.
It's a great sketch with a LOT of possibilities. So won't you join us for some WMS fun? See you over at the Waltzingmouse Sketch Challenge Blog. Make sure to hop on over to the the other Mischief Makers' blogs. They have a lot more inspiration for you! :)
