Here's my take on both challenges. I'm just hoping it's vintage enough for the Flourishes challenge. I used some patterned papers that weren't vintage looking at all. But then again, since their challenge is for vintage cards...I'll probably be making more! :) I used my new Make a Wish and Fancy Flourishes stamp sets from Papertrey Ink. I'm not sure if you can see the flourish, but I used a very, very light pink so that it wouldn't take away from the cake.
I also tweaked the sketch a little by adding that book plate with the twine and butterfly on it. I wanted it there for more texture and depth to the card. The book plate is from Tim Holtz Alterations dies. And the butterfly is a punch from Martha Stewart. Oh and I don't know if you noticed...I added a little glittery frosting on top of the cake...my husband insisted. Haha! :) That's what I call a "supportive" husband. Heehee! Thanks for stopping by tonight. I'll see you all again tomorrow for some more cards! :)
