Baby Mini Album
Hi bloggie friends! I'm back tonight for something totally different. My cousin-in-law is having a baby and I was inspired to make this baby mini album. I'm wasn't very good at scrapbooking...I was a total scatter brain when it came to it. I thought a small mini album wouldn't hurt. Well, it still wasn't easy...but here's what I came up with...it's a blank album so she can put her ultrasound pictures and little scribbles down on. I hope she likes it! :) Thanks for stopping by!
WMSC 25 & PDCC 57
Hi blog friends! I'm still trying to fight off this cough that I've had since Thanksgiving. Sorry I haven't been posting a lot lately. But I did make something for two challenges tonight. I decided to combine the color combination from The Play Date Cafe and the sketch from Waltzing Mouse Sketch Challenge.
Here's my take on the challenges. I added a little something to the sketch. I know it only has that square right in the middle, but I just couldn't resist and added the wonderful silver doily. I just thought it made things more festive. I've been trying to look for a big fat snowflake die. I finally found some at Sizzix. I glued on some glitter to it just for some added sparkle. I love the elegant combination of brown, gray and silver. I know it doesn't show in my cards but brown and gray are two of my favorite colors. Combined...well...perfection!!! I hope you like this one! :)

I had so much fun with this color combination. It's such an elegant choice of colors. Stacey really has an eye for great color splashes. Here's my take for this challenge.
I've been experimenting on my shots today and I came up with these pictures. I took this during the nicer part of the day. Anyway, I kept things simple yet elegant for this challenge. I used some of my favorite Waltzing Mouse Stamps, Victorian Frippery and Holiday Labels 14. I hope you're all inspired by it and will come and join us over at Stacey's Stamping Stage! :)

Mojo Monday 166
Hi blog friends! I'm back today for another round of challenges. This one is for Mojo Monday 166. I've been practicing on my photography skills (even if I only have a point and shoot...haha) and I was trying out some things. I hope you don't mind, but there are several shots I took of my card for this sketch. It would be great if you left me comments on what you think and how I can improve my shots! :)
I've also been playing around with my Photoshop. I've been trying to adjust levels and curves to try to adjust the lighting on my picture. It's sunny here one moment then cloudy. And I just hate that my pictures are not consistent! Any suggestions?
Anyway, here's my card for this sketch. The patterned paper is from My Mind's Eye. I embossed the brown cardstock panel using a Sizzix embossing folder and stitched it on my card. Then I stamped some vines from PTI using Crumb Cake. (My favorite neutral ink color) I also stamped in some stars/flowers from WMS in light blue. When I was done with the card, I thought something was still missing. So I stamped the birdcage and cut it. I also inked the edges to make it blend in with the rest of the card. I hope you like this one! Thanks for stopping by! I'll have more for you later! :)

CQC 60
Hello! I hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving. There was so much food! And since I have my cold...I couldn't smell anything....and I couldn't TASTE anything either!!! It was torture! But it was good having family around. I couldn't believe I woke up early this morning to go to AC Moore for their Spellbinders sale which was supposed to be $9.99 each. When I got there, it turns out that they were only having the sale for select holiday dies. I only got one. :(
My cousin-in-law was here yesterday. And I showed her my little craft table and let her try card making. I'm so glad she enjoyed it! She left me a picture of some supplies she got today to get her started. Yay! Finally someone close by who likes card making too! :)
I have a card for the Colour Q Challenge #60 challenge today. I really loved all the warm colors in this combination. What a wonderful selection!

We were making baby cards yesterday and I wanted to show her what I would make with the same stamp set. I just stamped a kraft cardstock with red polka dots. The I took a tag and stamped BaBy on it in red and crumb cake. I had all these cute buttons so I just started sticking them on the card. Haha. :) Thanks for stopping by! I hope you liked this one!

WMSC 24
Hi blog friends! I'm trying to catch up with some magazine calls tonight. But I made something clean and simple for the WMSC 24. Here's the sketch for this challenge.
I just stamped one of the stamps in Damask Designs by PTI on the yellow cardstock (also from PTI). I tied a bow around the card and adhered the label. The label is from WMS, Holiday Label 14, one of my favorites, specially for the holiday season! Thanks for stopping by tonight! I hope you like this one! I haven't made a CAS in a looong time. :)
2S4Y 66
Hi everyone! Oh my goodness it's so late and I'm WIDE awake. Before I force myself to sleep I wanted to post a card I made tonight. It's for 2S4Y 66 sketch challenge. I'm going to keep it short since it's very late. Here's Laura's sketch 66.
Here's my take on the sketch. I flipped the sketch and I have my card standing "up". I already had a sketch of what I had originally planned to do. But as I was working on the card I kept on changing things...until this was my final result. I like it a lot. I love that it's very soft and shabby chic! :) My shabby chic style is improving right?! I hope so!!! Hee! :) Thanks for stopping by! Good night! Oh I should say...good morning!!! :) Hugs!

PDCC 56
Hi everyone! Nooooo!!! The weekend is at an end. Good thing Thanksgiving is just around the corner and it's not going to be a long week. I had the greatest day today! AC Moore was having this awesome sale, 60% off coupon for any one item. I received one in the mail and one in the newspaper. So I asked my husband if he could go in line for me to use one coupon to get me a Spellbinders die! I was able to buy each for only $10!!! Thank you AC Moore! :)
The Play Date Cafe is having a Player Appreciation Week! Isn't that just fun?! And to celebrate it, they have some fabulous prizes for the players this week. This is their photo inspiration for their challenge.

Here's my interpretation of these colors! I made a vintage card! I've been seeing a lot of card makers use vintage images and I wanted to try it out. I found these images over at The Vintage Moth. They have some very nice vintage images there, and did I mention they're free?! :) I didn't want to jump in and buy something at my first try. It looks like I might try this again though! :) The pendant die from Spellbinders is one of the dies I bought with my AC Moore coupon! I used it on Hawaiian Shores cardstock and inked the edges with distress ink. The patterned paper on top is from Anna Griffin and the red one on the bottom is from K & Company. I colored a strip of white ribbon with olive ink because I didn't have it in that shade. And I added that puffy trim on the bottom. I hope you like this one! Thanks for stopping by! :)
Curtain Call Color Challenge Act 57
Hello everyone. It's that time of the week again. Won't you come and join us this week at the Curtain Call Color Challenge for some fun! This week's colors for Act 57 are:

Here's my take on this challenge's colors. I wanted to concentrate on brown and have areas of different colors on it. So I dry embossed my brown cardstock using a Sizzix embossing folder. Then I layered on the other colors of the challenge. I don't have Tempting Turquoise, but my fabric flowers from Webster's Pages were a nice replacement. I stamped this Vintage Label from Waltzing Mouse Stamps and stamped my sentiment on it. The sentiment is from Stampin' Up.
Aside from the fabric flowers, I just had to add on some ribbon and lace. I can't help it!!! I LOVE lace and ribbons on my cards! :) I hope you like this one. Join us for some fun over at Stacey's Stamping Stage! :)

2S4Y Sketch 66
Hi friends! TGIF!!! We have family visiting this weekend until next week, I don't know if I'll be able to join in on the usual challenges I join. But since it's not too busy around here yet, I found this card challenge over at 2S4Y. I thought it was an interesting sketch and wanted to try it out. I'm still working on my Christmas cards, so this one is Christmas themed again! :) Here's Kazan's wonderful sketch.
Here's my take on the sketch. When I first saw the sketch, the first idea that came to mind was cascading snowflakes! So I started by stamping some small snowflakes from (WMS) on the left side of my card panel. I heat embossed it with silver embossing powder. After that I decided to go Aqua Mist and Crumb Cake on the card. So I used En Francais (one of my favorite background stamps) and stamped it with Crumb Cake ink. I inked the edges with some Antique Linen (Ranger) and matted it with a sand colored cardstock from Bazzill.
Of course it wouldn't be me if I didn't add a ribbon. It's so funny, Sue mentioned that ribbons were a trademark on my cards. I had never realized it until she mentioned it. I actually went back to take a look at my past cards...and of course Sue was totally right! Hahaha! I think 90% of my cards had ribbons on them!!! Hee! :) I stitched the edges. (OF COURSE) Haha! Then I adhered everything on an Aqua Mist card base.
The label stamp is from Waltzing Mouse...one of my favorite stamp sets to date...Holiday Labels 14. The sentiment is also from WMS, Compliments of the Season. I also punched out some snowflakes and adhered glitter on them. Then I added some buttons with twine. I also thought that the bottom part seemed to be lacking something. So I added the two buttons. :) I hope you like this one! Thanks for stopping by!

Card that didn't make it.
Hi friends! I've been busy trying to make some cards for a few magazine calls tonight. I didn't have time to make one for my blog. Instead, I'll show you another card that didn't make it in. This was my inspiration for my first card in CASE Study Challenge. I just love this stamp set that I decided to use it again. Before I go on and on, here it is...
I just LOVE this stamp set. I'm specially fond of the sprinkles! Aren't they so adorable?! The sentiment is also part of one of my favorite sentiment stamp sets in Papertrey Ink. I still have more stuff to do for tonight...so I'll leave you all with this. I hope you like it! Thanks for stopping by! :) Hugs!

Waltzing Mouse November Blog Waltz
Hi everyone! We've been having so many outages this week because of the strong winds. I'm so glad the power was back when we got home. I tried something new today. I've always seen the Blog Waltz at Waltzing Mouse Stamps but have never tried it. So today, I decided to register and join in the waltz! :) The theme for the November Blog Waltz is of course, Christmas cards using Waltzing Mouse Stamps. I can't wait to see what people come up with. I'm not yet done with my Christmas cards and I'm running out of ideas! It would be great to find some new inspiration! :)
Here's my card for the Waltz. It's a vintage Christmas card. I had an idea of what I wanted to do, but I just couldn't make up my mind. I had these patterned papers all over the place, moving them around the card to decide where to put them. Eventually they ended up like this! :)
The patterned papers are from K&Company. The yellow block of textured cardstock is from DCWV. I stamped a part of a WMS Holiday Label 14 stamp all around it and inked the edges with Tea Dye, then brown. I also used a silver doily for some Christmas festive feeling. I can't remember the brand, but it's from Michael's at the baking aisle. I die cut a Labels 14 die and stamped a WMS Holiday Label 14 on it. The sentiment is also from Waltzing Mouse, I believe it's called Compliments of the Season. I just love these two stamp sets! They're my favorite this month. I also ordered the Vintage Ornaments, but so many people just love it that it seems to back-ordered...until I don't know when. I hope it makes it in time for me to use this season! :)
Anyway, I hope you like this one! I really enjoyed making it! :) Thanks for stopping by! I'll have another post for everyone later on at midnight! See you then! :)

Get Sketchy 64
Hi everyone! I have a short post for tonight since it's late. I found this card challenge through one of the blogs I follow. This is one of my favorite sketches so I really wanted to play along. It's at Get Sketchy Card Challenge, and this is GS64.
Here's my card for the challenge. I'll be really quick about it, sorry. The patterned paper is from Anna Griffin. The flowers are from 5th Ave Florals (SU). The flourish is...yes...once again...Baroque Motifs. (I LOVE it!!!) I don't know if it's visible, but I stamped En Francais (SU) on the sand colored cardstock. Sorry for the really short post. I hope you like this one! Thanks for stopping by! Good night everyone! Hugs!
