Waltzingmouse Sketch Challenge 104

Well hello there! I hope you've been enjoying your weekend so far. I'm running a bit late with my post so I'll make this quick. We have a super cute sketch from Theresa this week for Waltzingmouse Sketch Challenge 104.

I'm not really sure why, but when I saw this sketch I immediately wanted to use Florentine Frippery. I stamped my favorite image in Berry Sorbet and hand cut it. Then I adhered it over some patterned papers. I added some flowers and leaves over it as embellishment.

I also added a border underneath my patterned paper. I took an image from Victorian Frippery and stamped it directly on the patterned paper, also in Berry Sorbet. It balanced out the colors I was using on the card.

For my sentiment, I stamped "Always" from Say It Loud and stamped it on an oval that I had die cut and matted with another scalloped oval.

I'm going to keep this short as I am looking at the clock and it's almost 3:00 in the morning. My husband and I have to bring my nephew around the city tomorrow so no inky time for me. Hopefully, I'll have some time in the evening to myself. I'll see you all soon.

Please take some time to join us this week over at Waltzingmouse Sketch Challenge. For more inspiration, please head on over to the other Mischief Makers' blogs! Take care and enjoy your weekend! :)

CASE Study 97

Hi there friends! We have guests over so it's been a little busy around here. I wanted to join some of my favorite challenges but I didn't have any time to do so. I'm just glad I had some time to join in this week's CASE Study Challenge 97. This week is Joy's last week with us, so let's all have some fun and join in!

I loved the combination of the printed patterned paper and the retro typewriter. So I used those elements in my card. I adhered newsprint patterned paper over some script patterned paper and put it over a stamped image from A Little Argyle stamp set.

I stamped some images from Pretty Peonies from Papertrey Ink and Sent With Love from The Craft's Meow. I stamped them on vintage cream cardstock and hand cut them. Then I layered them over each other using foam tape.

I was going to follow the crossed pattern on Joy's card but changed my mind. Instead I adhered some buttons over the images to fill the blank upper portion of the card. The sentiment is also from Sent With Love.

Okay, that's about it for me tonight. Please make sure to head on over to CASE Study Challenge blog for more inspiration. I would love to see your take on this week's challenge.  Thanks for visiting today! Enjoy the rest of your week. I'll be seeing you again! :)

Waltzingmouse Sketch Challenge 103

Hello! Happy Saturday! It's finally the weekend. This week has been sooo hot I'm so glad this weekend's forecast seems to be better. My nephew's coming to spend his summer vacation with us. I hope I'll still have enough time to myself for some card making.

It's Saturday, and we're up for another round of Waltzingmouse Sketch Challenge. We have another sketch from Edna. This one is for Waltzingmouse Sketch Challenge 103.

I took a while before I figured out what I wanted to do with this sketch. I cheated a little bit on this one. Instead of following the sketch completely, I changed the bottom portion with die cut stars.

I also stamped this cute image from Half Pint Heroines, colored it in and hand cut it. This set is sooo cute. I'm really enjoying playing with it and Half Pint Heroes

After adding the die cut stars, I put some glitter on it, it's not that visible in the picture though. I also thought I would add some liquid pearls to it, but they flattened out right after I put them. So, I added some rhinestones instead.

I know the sketch is a little tricky, but I wanted to give you all a little idea on how to use it another way. So give it a try and join us over at Waltzingmouse Sketch Challenge! I would love to see all the other different takes on this sketch as well! Thanks for stopping by today. I'll see you all again soon! :)

The Craft's Meow June 2012 Release Blog Hop

Hello! Hello! You made it to the Blog Hop!!! Welcome to The Craft's Meow June 2012 Release Blog Hop! I hope you enjoyed the release previews we had these past few days. Don't you just love all that inspiration?! We have some more for you today. Let's get on to it shall we?! :)

The Craft's Meow

Did you just come from Jackie's blog? If you did, then you are right where you should be. If not, you should start at The Craft's Meow Blog and work your way down the list of TCM's wonderful DT.

For my project, I've combined Stitched Flowers, Stitched Sentiments and Lovely Labels 14. I combined some patterned papers from My Mind's Eye and Prima for my base. Then I stamped, colored and hand cut some flowers from Stitched Flowers and Lovely Labels 14.

I randomly placed the flowers on the banner I made and put some of them in different heights using foam tape. These flowers are just so cute. I imagine I'll be using them a lot. I added some buttons to tie them all in.

I wanted the flowers to take the center stage, so I simply stamped my sentiment straight onto the patterned paper and colored it in with Copic markers.

How would you like to win ALL 6 stamp sets?! Easy peasy! You just have to leave comments on ALL of the DTs blogs. You have until June 24th to leave your comments. Here's a list to help you out...

Just a little reminder: Summer Fun is June's gift with a purchase of $50 or more. Happy Shopping! Thank you for stopping by today! Now head on over to Jen's blog for the next hop in the Blog Hop! :)

CASE Study Challenge 96

Hello! Thanks for stopping by! We have another inspiration card from Joy Taylor this week. It's for CASE Study Challenge 96.

I love how fun and CAS this is. I'm really starting to appreciate CAS a lot these days after seeing so many wonderful cards from different card makers. I love the texture and colors in Joy's card. I also tried to make a CAS card, and also with a boy theme to it.

I used Half Pint Heroes from Waltzingmouse Stamps. This is such a cute stamp set. I didn't get it earlier on because I wasn't sure how to incorporate it into my style. But I've been trying a little of CAS lately and I thought this set would be perfect.

I just stamped waves in different colors on the bottom of the vintage cream cardstock, using It's a Shore Thing from The Craft's Meow. Then I stamped the star fish in random places above it. I stamped the submarine and the life saver and colored them in with Copic colors. I stamped my sentiment on a banner and adhered a button on one side of it.

Please visit the other DTs' blogs for more inspiration. Join us over at the CASE Study Challenge blog and link up your take to Joy's card.

I'm off to make dinner now! It's tune bake night. Thanks for stopping by! I'll see you again soon! The blog hop for TCM is up as well. So make sure to drop by again later! :)

Introducing Oh Deer and Summer Fun

The Craft's Meow

Hello bloggies! It's the last day of the previews for The Craft's Meow June 2012 Release. We have two sets to introduce to you today. Oh Deer is from our very own Amy Wanford! It's her first stamp set so let's all give her a big round of applause! And it is such a wonderful stamp set!!! We also have Summer Fun from our very talented Kaitlyn Ord

Oh Deer
Amy Wanford

For my first project, I used the darling deer image from the set. I stamped it on patterned paper, hand cut it and outlined it with a Copic marker.

I cut a piece of polka dotted patterned paper and stamped a tree trunk image, grass and a butterfly on it. Then I colored it in with Copics, to set the background for my little deer.

I stamped my sentiment on a label from Timeless Tags and added it with some foam tape.

Summer Fun
Kaitlyn Ord

Summer Fun is our gift set for June with a purchase of $50 or more. I made a very feminine BBQ party card. So I went with pink and vintage cream. I stamped the cute BBQ pit and hand cut it. Then I added it to a circle that I die cut.

I embellished the circle with lace, ribbon and a flower.

For the sentiment, I stamped it on the black patterned paper panel and heat embossed it so that it would pop against the dark color.

What did you think of the release previews this month? Aren't the new stamp sets so much fun? I had a great time playing with them. The other TCM girls have a lot more to show you, so make sure to hop on over to their blogs. You also have a chance to win these stamp sets introduced today. All you have to do is leave a comment over at the TCM blog. That's it! Good luck! See you again tomorrow for the blog hop and big reveal!!! :)
Thanks for visiting today!

The Craft's Meow June 2012 Release Previews - Day 3

The Craft's Meow

Hi there! Welcome back to Day 3 of The Craft's Meow June 2012 Release Previews! Today we're introducing Lovely Labels 14 by Elizabeta Kushner.

This stamp set coordinated with one of my favorite labels from Spellbinders. The designs are very intricate and beautiful. There are also additional images that I think you'll just LOVE! For my project today, I chose this medium sized label to hold my sentiment.

I stamped it and heat embossed it on kraft cardstock and colored in the butterflies on the bottom. I stamped the sentiment on a small strip of patterned paper and adhered it over the label. Then I added the ribbon and flowers to top it off.

I also stamped this beautiful butterfly image on my background panel several times. Then I colored in the wings with a light gray Copic marker.

That's all I have for you today. Come back tomorrow for more! Do you want to win this stamp set? All you have to do is leave a message on the TCM blog! Leave some love on the other TCM girls' blogs too! :) See you again tomorrow!

Giveaway WINNER

Hi everyone! Sorry for the delay. Here's the winner for my Half Pint Heroes giveaway.

Congratulations Miriam! Sorry for those who missed it. I did the random number generator when there were only 6 comments on the deadline. Miriam, please email me your mailing address so I can send these little guys your way! :)

The Craft's Meow June 2012 Release Previews - Day 2

The Craft's Meow

Welcome back! It's Day 2 of The Craft's Meow June 2012 Release Previews. Today we're introducing two coordinating stamp sets, Stitched Flowers and Stitched Sentiments, from Nina B Designs.

This is my favorite set of the lot. I just love the "stitched" idea a lot.

I stamped this floral image onto vintage cream cardstock. I also stamped the sentiment on the lower left portion of the card. I colored in the "hello" and the leaves. Then I stamped the flowers again onto different pieces of patterned papers and hand cut them. Before adhering the flowers I ran the vintage cream cardstock through my Cuttlebug with this wood grain embossing plate. I glued different buttons in the center of the flowers.

I thought the left hand side of the panel was missing something. So I stamped It's a Banner Day in two colors, hand cut them and adhered them over some twine. I matted the main panel with some striped patterned paper and sewed it on. Then I adhered it to the card base.

That's all I have for you today. Come back tomorrow for more! Head on over to the TCM blog and leave a message for a chance to win these two amazing stamp sets. Don't forget to leave some love with the TCM girls' blog as well! We love your input! :)
Thanks for passing by today! I'll see you again tomorrow!

The Craft's Meow June 2012 Release Previews - Day 1

Hello friends! Happy Father's Day! And what a great day it is to start off on our June 2012 Release Previews for The Craft's Meow. We have two wonderful guest designers joining us this month. Please help up welcome Gaytari Murali and Larissa Heskett.

The Craft's Meow

Today, we're introducing a stamp set from Karen BakerGod's Blessing. It's been a highly requested set filled with sentiments for different religious celebrations.

My card was inspired by a patterned paper that I saw while browsing through my patterned paper pads. I combined God's Blessing with Simply Delightful and made a nice little patterned on a striped piece of patterned paper.

I stamped the doily image from Simply Delightful on the lower right hand corner of the patterned paper panel. Then I stamped over it with this beautiful flourish from God's Blessing. Afterwards, I stamped the little cross over it and added my sentiment to the left side.

I don't usually make one layer cards, if you've been following my work you'll know this. lol! So, since I couldn't help myself, I cut a strip of patterned paper and adhered it on the top portion of the card. Then I tied a ribbon over it and added this cute little charm on it. I also added the flower embellishment on it for a little more texture and height.

Would you like to win this stamp set? All you have to do is leave a comment on the TCM blog! But don't forget to visit the other TCM girls to see what they have in store for you. And leave them some love! I for one love the sweet comments that friends leave when they pass by. :)

I'll see you all again for another sneak peek tomorrow! Thanks for stopping by today!

Waltzingmouse Sketch Challenge 102 and a GIVEAWAY!

Hi there! I fell asleep and almost forgot to make my post! It's finally the weekend. This weekend seemed so long and never ending. I'm just glad to have some time to rest now. This cold has been weighing me down so much. I hope it goes away before next weekend.

Anyway, we have a new sketch over at Waltzingmouse Sketch Challenge! We are at WMSC 102, and we have another beautiful sketch from Edna. Here we go...

It's a great sketch and just perfect for what I had in mind. I got my new stamps in this week and inked them up immediately! I have to say, they are sooo much fun! I got them in a bit late, but it was worth all the wait. I also have a GIVEAWAY for today...so hang in there!!!

I kept it pretty simple for my card this week. There's only one base panel patterned paper and I adhered a doily over on the left hand side. I tied a ribbon around it for some color before making my balloon image.

I stamped this balloon image onto some vintage cream cardstock and onto several patterned papers as well. Then I fussy cut the different panels and glued them on. Then I adhered it to the card with some foam tape. I also stamped, colored and hand cut the rest of the images that coordinated with it.

Let's get on with the GIVEAWAY. I haven't had one in a while and I just wanted to take this time to thank everyone who has been there with me all this time. My card making journey has been such a fun one and I couldn't have done it with out my blog friends. You've all inspired me and kept me coming back for more.

I have an extra set of Half Pint Heroes that I wanted to share with one lucky person. If you're anything like me and you have the Half Pint Heroines...then you have to HAVE Half Pint Heroes as well! :) What do you have to do you say? Just leave me a comment here on this post! Followers only please. I don't want to just give the set away to people who are just looking for some freebies.

You have until Monday 12:00am EST to leave me a comment here. Then I'll use a random number generator to pick out one lucky winner. Good luck! :)
