The Craft's Meow November Release Blog Hop

Yay! You've made it to the end of the TCM November Release! Welcome to The Craft's Meow Blog Hop! Did you enjoy the last 4 days of release previews? Well, we have a little bit more for you today before November comes to an end.

The Craft's Meow

If you just came from Iwona "Chupa" Palamountain's blog then you're right where you're supposed to be. If not, please head on over to The Craft's Meow blog to start from the beginning. As you go along the way, leave a message on each of the blogs that you hop on for a chance to win the ENTIRE November Release!

Also, Stitched Sentiments Two is our November gift with a $50 purchase over the store. Enjoy! Now let's get onto the hop! :)

For my card, I used Valentine Wishes, Beautiful Shelf, and Stitched Sentiments Two. I like to use different sets together to show how versatile they can be. :)

I made a 4.5 x 4.5 card. I stamped Xo from Valentine Wishes above and below to make a border before I stitched a panel of kraft cardstock in the middle. Then I die cut some labels and adhered them in the middle of the card. I stamped my sentiment from Stitched Sentiments Two on the top most label. I also stamped this sweet little lady and colored in some parts as well as paper pieced her skirt.

I tucked in a little strip of crocheted lace on the bottom of the sentiment. And to finish things off, I stamped this little banner from Beautiful Shelf, cut it out and adhered it with foam adhesive on the upper left portion of the card.

That's it for me! Now head on over to Jen's blog for more inspiration! Don't forget to leave a message for a chance to win the ENTIRE November Release!

Yay! You've made it to the last stamp set preview for this month's The Craft's Meow November Release! How have you been enjoying it? I hope you like the samples as well as the images that the TCM design team made for you.

The Craft's Meow

There's just one more stamp set to preview today before we get to our blog hop. And as per TCM fashion, you can win this stamp set simply by leaving a message over at The Craft's Meow Blog

Today, we're introducing Zoom Goes My Heart by Karen Baker. I love how trendy the images from this set are! You are going to love this!!!

For my card, I chose this cute chevron patterned paper from My Mind's Eye. Then I picked out colors from it to use on the rest of the card. I stamped the speedometer image and layered it over a doily die cut. Both of which I layered once more on a banner that I cut out from some cardstock.

I added some crocheted lace, a ribbon, flower petals and a button over the upper left hand corner of the doily.

For my sentiment, I die cut a rectangular strip and stamped three hearts on it, then the sentiment above it.

How did you like today's previews? Have you seen what the other TCM girls have in store? If you haven't please head on over to their blogs to have a go see. Tomorrow is our blog hop where you can win the ENTIRE November Release!!! So make sure you come back tomorrow! :)

The Craft's Meow November 2012 Release Previews - Day 3

Hi there! It's me again! I have another post for The Craft's Meow November 2012 Release Previews. Today we're introducing Beautiful Shelf by Nina B Designs. It's a great set with wonderful images that you can mix and match.

The Craft's Meow

For my card, I embossed the faux stitching on the patterned paper panel that I adhered to my main card base. Then I die cut this beautiful Spellbinders frame and placed it on the panel. I stamped the banner and quilt image and layered it on top of the frame. These are my favorite images from the set.

The quilt I stamped and heat embossed. It came out beautifully on the kraft cardstock. I actually adhered it upside down! lol! But you can't really tell, can you? :)

Anyway, I also added a white trim on the bottom of the patterned paper panel. Then I stamped my sentiment from Stitched Sentiments 2 on the bottom. By the way, Stitched Sentiments 2 will be our November gift for purchases over $50. It was such a great hit the first time that Nina made more! :)

Well, that's it for me! If you want a chance to win this set, all you have to do is leave a comment on The Craft's Meow Blog. Easy right?! Please come back tomorrow, we have one more set to feature before the blog hop. Thanks for stopping by today! :)

Online Card Classes - Paper Ornaments

Hello there! I hope you're enjoying the second day of the TCM Release Previews. Please scroll down to view my post for today.

I was so excited about this that I really wanted to share it with you ladies right away. I joined the most recent class being offered over at Online Card Classes. I've actually joined several of their classes and I must say they're all very informative and fun! :)

This is one of the projects from that class that I started making last night! It's absolutely beautiful!!! Thank you so much Jennifer for sharing it!

I'm planning on making several of these to add to our tree as ornaments. :) As you can see the light blue ornament was my first try. I didn't tighten the cones well enough and you can see some holes. But it got better on my second try with the white ornament.

I'll try to post more projects as I go through the classes.

Oh and before you go. I would like to share this one more time...Cheekie Charlie is opening this December! They are offering fun and innovative baby/toddler clothing. Designed by a product designer mom (my cousin) for her baby girl Charlie (my cute niece!!!) and now she wants to share it with you! :)

The Craft's Meow November 2012 Release Previews - Day 2

Hello there! Welcome back TCM's November 2012 Release Previews! I hope you enjoyed yesterday's previews of Valentine Wishes. We're introducing another stamp set today. This one is from Nina B Designs, a follow up to a previous stamp set, Stitched Sentiments 2! I loved that sentiment set and so I was absolutely thrilled to have another one added to it! :)

The Craft's Meow

This set has a wonderful mix of sentiments. I chose to go with a holiday theme for my card today. As you know, I was away on vacation and wasn't able to use some of the sets from the previous release. I took the chance to use them on my card today.

For this card, I used, Stitched Sentiments 2, Warm Winter Wishes, and Winter Fibby & Lilly. Winter Fibby & Lilly was from last month's release. Isn't this image absolutely adorable?!

I wanted to emphasize my sentiment. So I separated it with a felt strip that I adhered glitter on. It's also a great base for my main image.

Would you like a chance to win this wonderful sentiment set? Easy! All you have to do is to leave a message over at The Craft's Meow Blog! Looking for more inspiration? The other TCM girls have more in store for you. So please head on over to their blogs and leave them some love! I look forward to seeing you tomorrow! I have MORE cards and stamp sets to introduce! See you then! :)

OMGoodness! I almost forgot!!! We have a wonderful guest designer with us during this release! It's my fellow Mischief Maker, Kim Duran! Please give her a warm welcome and check out what she has in store for you! :)

The Craft's Meow November 2012 Release Previews - Day 1

Hello there! For all you TCM followers out there who have been waiting for this...the wait is over! The TCM November 2012 Release Previews are finally here!

The Craft's Meow

First up is a stamp set from Mabelle R-O called Valentine Wishes. For those of you who love to color with Copics, this is a wonderful set to have. If you're not so good at it, like me, paper piecing is another wonderful way to go!

I stamped this sweet image of a girl with balloon hearts and colored it in with my Copics. I wish a demonstrator would come and visit us here and New York. I would love to attend a lesson or two! :)

I layered on some patterned papers and lace. Then I die cut a tag and scallop circle and placed it in the middle of my card. I also adhered the word LOVE and placed it over the scallop circle. Then I adhered the cute little girl to the side.

I stamped some hearts on the top portion and made a little border. I added a wooden clothes pin, ribbon and heart just because I love to PILE it on! :) I also used Enamel Accents to make the cute little white dots on the scalloped circle.

It's been a very busy month with very little crafty time for me. Hopefully I'll have more samples for you as the week goes by. For more inspiration, please head on over to The Craft's Meow blog and check out what the other ladies have for you today! Don't forget to leave them some love! It always makes my day when I have messages posted on my blog. :) I'll be back again tomorrow for more! Please make sure to come check it out!

Waltzingmouse Sketch Challenge 125

Hi there! Happy post-Thanksgiving! I hope you all enjoyed Thanksgiving and had a lot of luck during the Black Friday sales. I haven't tried waiting in line for the door-busters. I can never stand the cold long enough to wait in line like that. lol.

I hope you have some time this weekend, because it's time for some Waltzingmouse Sketch Challenge! This week's sketch is from yours truly. Let's get it it shall we? Welcome to Waltzingmouse Sketch Challenge 125.

WMSC125.jpg

I hope you like layers. Because as you know, I do! It gives wonderful dimension to cards and I think it's nice to take your time making your card. It sometimes takes me about 30 minutes to finish a card. But it's 30 minutes of fun for me. :)

For my card, I used the following Waltzingmouse Stamp sets: Complements of the Season 2 and Yonder Star.

I used Yonder Stars to make the background panel of my card. Then I cut strips from patterned papers (PTI) and made the banners and attached them to the top of the card. I only put adhesives on the top portion so that the bottom would "float" over the card. I layered two images from Compliments of the Season 2 and adhered it in the middle.

This is one of my favorite color combinations. I hope I'm not over using it. lol! I would love to see what you make of the sketch for this week. Remember, you'll have a chance to win a stamp set of your choice if you join us. See you there!

Waltzingmouse Sketch Challenge 124

Yahoo! It's finally the weekend. The week seemed to pass by quickly, and yet not quick enough. I've been waiting for the weekend so I can go watch the Twilight movie. lol! Yes, I like to follow the movies since they came out. The first two weren't all that, but the third and last one seemed to be good. So now I hope they came up with a nice one this time as well.

Before I forget myself and keep blabbing, I'm going to go ahead with the Waltzingmouse Sketch Challenge 124. I absolutely loved the cards from last week. So much talent! Well, here's a little something to start your creative juices. This week's sketch is from our very own Karin Akesdotter

Some of my WMS orders came in this week! I was so excited and opened them right away. This was one of my favorites, Candy Wagon, so I inked it up right away. I added more layers than the sketch had. I hope that's ok.

There are different combinations when building the Candy Wagon. I just chose one of the Candy Wagons that the WMS DT girls made. The possibilities are endless, I can imagine combining other stamp sets with this one! :)

Since I already had the Western theme going on here, I picked out some sentiments from Back in the Saddle. Then I added some elements to it, like the glittered star, the wood grain embossed kraft panel, lace and ribbon.

I hope that gave you a bit of inspiration and that you'll join us over at the Waltzingmouse Sketch Challenge. I would love to see what combination you'll come up with using the new stamps from the last release. I'll see you there! :)

TCM Holiday Blog Hop

Hello there! Whew! It's been a week but I haven't gotten back to the swing of things yet. So much paper work to do and update. Argh! I love having vacations but the I'm not too keen on the load of work I have to get back to after it. Gas lines have been shorter. Hopefully by this week everything will go back to normal.

The Craft's Meow

Since the holidays are fast approaching, TCM is having a Holiday Blog Hop for everyone! So, if you just came from Chupa's blog (Iwona Palamountain), you are right where you ought to be. IF not, please head on over to The Craft's Meow Blog to start from the very beginning. TCM is giving away a stamp set of choice for a lucky winner! All you have to do is to leave comments along the way. Comments must be left by 9pm PST, Wed Nov 14th.

Let's head on over to my card. I'm using Vintage Snowflake and The Merry Best on my card.

I used the Vintage Snowflakes to make the background panel for my card. Then I used the wonderful tree images and sentiment from The Merry Best on the raised panel of my card.

I added some lace, ribbon and cut out the little balls on a trim to add to my ribbon. I also flanked the raised panel with strips of patterned papers. I'm not sure if you can see it, but I also used some enamel accents on the trees as well.

That's it for me today. Now head on over to Jen Cuthbertson for more inspiration! Thanks for stopping by today. Please make sure you leave comments along the way for a chance to win a stamp set of your choice! Enjoy your week! See you all again!

Waltzingmouse Sketch Challenge 123

Hello there! I'm back with another card for this week. I've been busy trying to catch up with everything that I've missed these past two weeks. There's a lot of paper work to do and I'm not looking forward to it. It's nice to have little breaks in between whenever I make cards for my DT assignments.

This one is for Waltzingmouse Sketch Challenge 123. I have been waiting for my WMS orders to arrive in the mail. I guess Sandy pushed back their delivery for a few more days. Hopefully I'll have them in time for the next challenge. I can't wait! :) Here we go...

I hope my photo looks ok. For some reason my card photos don't look the same from before I left for vacation. I can't remember, for the life of me, if I changed any of the settings on my camera! It's so frustrating. So please bear with me until I figure this out.

This week's sketch is from Lenet. Wonderful chance for a layered card for me! :)

As you know, before I left I was trying to make as many Christmas cards as I could. So here's another one for my growing set.

I started off by making my ginger bread cookie jar from Candy Jar Christmas Fillers. Then I had this idea to make a felt layer where I could adhere my cookie jar. I cut out a small piece of white cardstock and sewed a piece of felt on top of it.

I couldn't decide how to put my sentiment on the card so I stamped it directly on the felt piece. It's from Santa's Coming to Town. Then I added a little more by stamping Merry Christmas on a strip of cream cardstock and adhering it on the inside panel of the card. It's from 2011 Holiday Ornaments. I made the front portion shorter so that the sentiment would be visible.

Well, that's all I have for today. I'll be back in a few days with more. Hopefully my mojo comes back soon! (It took me a while to figure out what I wanted to do with this sketch!) I hope to see you over at the Waltzingmouse Sketch Challenge! Thanks for stopping by today! :)
