Waltzingmouse Stamps Blog Waltz

***This is my second post for the day. If you're looking for CASE Study Challenge 130, please scroll down.***

Are you ready for a little Blog Waltz?! If you are...then Welcome to the Waltzingmouse Stamps Blog Waltz! If you just came from Kim's blog then you're in the right place! If not, head on over to the Watlzingmouse Makes Blog to start from the beginning.

The theme for the Waltz is to use your favorite Waltzingmouse Stamp set to date. And since I couldn't choose just one, I decided to choose a "set". lol. I am in love with the Waltzingmouse "Western" themed stamp sets. :) And I made a little party set with it for the waltz!

WaltzingmouseStamps

I used Back in the Saddle, Bitty Banners, Candy Wagon, and Way Out West. First up is an Invitation card for our little Western party. I did a lot of fussy cutting for this. I'm hoping to make cut files for this set so that I can make these invitations in bulk. :)

Then I made a little treat bag. The treat bag itself was made with my Silhouette Cameo. Then I decorated it with Waltzingmouse goodies.

And lastly, I made a place card for my little party set.

That's all I have for you today! If you're all done here, you can head on over to Karin's blog for more inspiration! :) Here's a full list of the blog hop for you just in case you need it! Thanks for stopping by today! Hope to see you again soon. :)

The Play Date Cafe 170 - Sending Well Wishes

Hi there! I finally had some time to play a bit in my craft room. I was also browsing through my favorite blogs and found The Play Date Cafe 170! The color combination is gorgeous! I absolutely loved it and had to join!

When I saw this color combination the first thing I grabbed was PTI's Facy Folk Art stamp set. The colors reminded me of beautiful Moroccan tiles from my best friend's house back home. They had these gorgeous yellow and blue flowers on them. It took me a while to come up with the layout for my card, but I eventually finished it.

The wood grain background and gray door also stuck to me. And I grabbed my favorite "wood" image, the Birch stamp set from Clear and Simple Stamps. I heat embossed it in white against a stone colored cardstock.

I also added a label from PTI's Fabulous Frames on the bottom to balance the flowers above. I punched the sides and slipped jute twine through it and around the card.

The sentiments above and below are from PTI's Everyday Photo Finishers. I thought the font was perfect for the "feel" that I wanted to bring out from the card.

I added a strip of gray cardstock to separate the two portions of the card. I found it lacking and decided to stamp my favorite image from PTI's Embellishments on it in white. I used WPlus9's White Pigment Ink. Have I mentioned how awesome this ink is?!?!?!

That's all I have for today! I hope you enjoyed this post. Thank you for stopping by! Enjoy your weekend! :)

WMS February Blog Hop Party

Every 17th of the month, Waltzingmouse Stamps plays host to a Blog Hop Party! And we would absolutely love to see what you'll make with your Waltzingmouse Stamps! :) This month's theme is DOILIES. So bring out your doily stamps and join us for a little party!

Here's my card for the party. I pulled out my Dainty Doilies - Large Set and made a background patterned paper with it. I stamped it with WPlus9 white pigment ink on a dark cardstock panel. I just love the beautiful details of each doily that's absolutely crisp white against the kraft.

I also used Vintage Garden Seed Packet. I stamped it onto vintage cream cardstock and cut out a window. Then I stamped the flower image, hand cut it and adhered it to the back panel which I stamped with Faux Fun.

One lucky winner has the chance to grab a STAMP SET of their choice! Now that's what I call a PARTY! So please join us over at the Waltzingmouse Stamps Blog for a little party! Happy hopping and thanks for stopping by!

PTI: Color Inspiration Challenge

Hi there! It's Papertrey Ink's 6th Year Anniversary! I missed the sketch challenge yesterday and felt really bad. So I made sure to join in today. I picked color inspiration no. 5 for this challenge, and although I missed yesterday's, I still used a sketch from it anyway.

Color-inspiration-5  Sketch-4

I loved this color combination as soon as I saw it and so decided to give it a go. Here's what I came up with. I used Fancy Folk Art stamp set. I apologize for the bad photo. I had to take this at night and the lighting was terrible. I really should invest in a good Speedlite.

I used the coordinating dies for Fancy Folk Art. Then I stamped the individual flowers. There's a strip in the middle of the Fine Linen banner that I actually stamped and colored in. I grouped the flowers in a bunch underneath a gray ribbon and added a few punched twigs.

I stamped the sentiment straight onto the Fine Linen banner, stamped it again in light gray and hand cut it. Then I adhered it over the initial stamped image with some foam tape.

That's all I have for today. I'll be back again this week with more cards! Thanks for stopping by! :)

Bonjour

Hi there! I hope everyone in the East Coast is doing well. We had about 15 inches of snow where we live, but it wasn't so bad. We had no power outages and other than shoveling the snow up front, we're pretty much just resting indoors today. It's nice and sunny now and I had plenty of time to get inky.

I found two great challenges that I wanted to join in. The first one is The Shabby Tea Room 152 and the other is Moxie Fab World: Tuesday Trigger - Cross My Heart

It was a wonderful coincidence that they both had the same color combination and flowers on their inspiration photos. So I grabbed my Waltzingmouse Stamps and started to make this...

I apologize for the photos today. I usually always compare what my images look like on my computer as well as my tablet. The colors show off the same as the original on my tablet but seems to be a little washed off here on my computer.

Anyway, for my background, I stamped the Birch Trees from Clean and Simple Stamps above and heat embossed Chicken Wire from WMS on the bottom. I separated the two by tying a gray ribbon around my card.

Then I used French Country and stamped sentiment and rooster image on the label from the same set. I also stamped the different flower images from the set, colored them in with copics and hand cut each one. It was a little tedious, but I knew it would be worth it in the end. :)

The key is how you hold your scissors. You should always use your thumb and ring finger when cutting. It's how surgeons hold their scissors so that it's more stable. :) Because your ring finger and pinky provide the base that keeps your scissors steady. Did that make sense? :) lol.

Anyway, I hope you like my card for today. Maybe I can try and make cut files for these images...hmmm that should be interesting. :) Well, that's it for me! Thanks for stopping by today! Enjoy the rest of our weekend!

WPlus9 Sponsors: CARDS Blog Challenge

Hi there! I'm back again! And with more WPlus9 goodies! WPlus9 is sponsoring the CARDS Blog Challenge for February. So we're inviting you to come along and play with us!

Here's the sketch for the challenge.

I have to admit it was a little tricky. If you know me by now, you'll know that if I find something tricky, I'll probably end up changing it up a bit. So I did just that! :)

I didn't have the scalloped square die that the sketch had. So I just chose to keep it simple with a square and rounded the corners of the inner cardstock panel. Since I really enjoyed using the Embroidered Bouquet so much, I used it in place of the stars on the sketch.

And for the center with the sentiment, I used Lacey Layers in different colors and layers.
The sentiment is from Written on Ribbon and the banner die is from Banner Trio Die. Inks used are all Hero Arts Shadow Inks! :)

So if you have some crafty time set aside, please come and join us over at the CARDS Blog Challenge! Thanks for stopping by today! I'll see you all again! :)

Wplus9 January/February 2013 Release Group Post

You made it! Welcome to the WPlus9 January/February 2013 Release Group Post! I hope you've enjoyed the release so far and are itching to do some shopping! :)

Before we wrap things up, we have one more day of inspiration for everyone. Please join the WPlus9 DT members for the Group Post

I used my favorite set of the lot, Lacey Layers to make my card today. I used the Lacey Layers dies to make my main pieces and layered them after stamping the doily images in different colors. I heat embossed the sentiment from Very Vintage Florals.

I kept everything else simple because I wanted the doilies to pop. My only other addition was a ribbon. And there you go! :)

The ladies have more in store for you. So make sure to head on over to their blogs to check out their projects. Thank you so much for joining us for the WPlus9 January/February 2013 Release
