I really wanted to make some paper flowers tonight and I found a way to use it with this sketch. I used a die from Tim Holtz to make the flowers. I stamped a floral image (Friends till the End: PTI) on it and inked the edges. Then I distressed and wrinkled it by placing it on top of a foam mat then mashing a fat embossing tool on it. It was only a trial to see if it would be easier than wrinkling them by hand since the cardstock was PTI and very heavy. It came out great! I layered the die cut pieces and placed a button in the middle. Here they are:
Supplies:
Cardstock - vintage cream, aqua mist (PTI), green (Bazzill)
Patterned Paper - Fly a Kite (October Afternoon)
Stamps - Friends till the End, Turning a New Leaf (PTI), sentiment (Gina K)
Others - buttons (Walmart), ribbon (Wendy)
It's my first release as a Curtain Call Crew Design Team member this coming Sunday, I hope I'll be able to post my card before the deadline. I've been hearing that hurricane Earl is closing in and will be on the east shore by Friday. I hope it doesn't do a lot of damage and leave people with floods and without power. Let's just be ready for it!
Thanks for stopping by and for all the wonderful comments. I just love reading comments! :) See you, hopefully tomorrow!
