Waltzingmouse Sketch Challenge 40

Hello again! I'm back for the Waltzingmouse Sketch Challenge 40.  I can't believe it's been almost two months now since I joined the Mischief Makers. It's been a great journey so far. I try to push myself to make something better each time. We can't go making lousy cards that don't belong up there with the rest! Hee! :) It's the weekend! FINALLY! I have a cousin who's going to have a baby in a few months and so I've been inspired to make baby stuff. :) I spent the longest time on this submission. It's the very first time I made a banner. I've always stuck to just making cards. But these WM Sketches just keep pushing me out of my comfort zone. Here's the sketch for this week.

And here's my submission. I only have a 17 x 17 light box. So I struggled on taking a picture of this! Haha! I knew I should have gotten a bigger one! And I need bigger lights as well! They're just SO expensive! And I don't know if I'm willing to spend on them just yet. There's always Photoshop! :)

I stamped the banners in different colors and matted them with patterned cardstock. Then I just embellished them with lace, ribbons, buttons, and chipboard. What do you think? :) I also took some shots of the individual banners so you can look at them in detail. I hope you'll all join us this week on WMSC 40! See you there! And don't forget to check out the other Mischief Makers! They have wonderful projects in store for everyone!

  1. Love it Jean. You did a fab job with the banner. :)

I have a 10 and 30 inch light tent. You need to go to Wal Mart or Lowes and get some clip on work lights. They are like $5 each. I will take a pic and send it to you. You can put a photo bulb in them and you will be just fine. I got my bulb at Lowes also.

  6. Gorgeous banner, Jean! I haven't jumped on the banner bandwagon yet, but you *almost* have me convinced. This is so sweet and would look darling hanging in a nursery. I love those cute pom-poms at the bottom!
