CR84FN22

Hi everyone! I hope this finds you all well. I have a card for CR84FN22 today. I was putting it off last week until I totally forgot to make a card! And I missed last week's challenge entirely!!! So I'm doing this early while I have a lot of time to make it. This week's colors are filled with earthly goodness. I love the color combination. Here it is and the inspiration photos.

That wreath is awesome! And those invitations are divine. Aside from our usual card making, I think I would enjoy myself a lot with making wedding invitations. Digitally of course! Can you imagine putting hundreds and hundreds of invitations by hand?! Stamping, cutting, tying ribbons?! Oh my...I would never finish in time.

These colors inspired me to use the Flora and Fauna stamp set from WPlus9. This is one of my favorite from their gorgeous clear stamp line. The background was stamped with Text Style from Papertrey Ink and the Bitty Banners and sentiment (Fancy Phrases) are from Waltzingmouse Stamps. I hope you like it! See you again tomorrow! :)

Belated Happy Birthday Cacay! and The Shabby Tea Room Week #55 - Flower Palette

Hi everyone! This is my third post for today so make sure to check out my previous ones! I have one more for the road before I get some r&r (aka.tv). It's was my best friend's birthday this weekend and I wanted to give her a ring. She lives in the Philippines and I miss her everyday. I remember having "spa" weekends with her and some of my other friends. We would all go have a relaxing time at a spa and then go out for dinner and dessert. We were never the partying, drinking kind of people. But we had so much fun. Last year, a few of us went on a trip to Malaysia and Cambodia. It was awesome! Can you believe I spent only $100 for a 4 day 3 nights stay at a bed and breakfast in Cambodia? It also included a van, driver, tour guide and entrances to several of the tourist destinations we went to.

Happy birthday Cacay! Mwah! :)

Before I forget! I was going to join The Shabby Tea Room Challenge 55 this week. It's hosted by one of my favorite card makers, Danielle Greenwood. Here's her inspiration photo. I wouldn't mind waking up to this everyday!

Here's my card. I hope you like it! :) Good night everyone!

ColourQ Challenge 78

Hi bloggies! If you're looking for my WMSC41 it's here. I hope your Saturday started great. I'm squeezing in this card for the ColourQ Challenge 78 before I start doing some cleaning in the house. I can't ignore that forever! Hee! Don't you wish it would clean itself on its own? Haha! I don't mind doing it though, it's good exercise some how. And I must admit I'm a sucker for infomercials on TV!!! I've been wanting to buy those steam cleaners for a while now. I just don't know if they actually work. I have this idea in my head that all products that are sold on tv don't work or don't last long. Oh, here I am babbling and I haven't even shown you the color combination yet! Here it is.

Isn't this a sweet combination? And those pastries are making me hungry! ColourQ is well known for their bright color combinations...but for now, this combination is still safely within my comfort zone. Yay! :) This combination makes me want to go on a vacation. It's been almost a year since my last vacation. I should just secretly book one and tell my husband when it's time to go. Hahaha! Any suggestions for any great place that's within a 3-5 hour drive from New York? Anyway, without further ado, here's my submission.

I used some of my Waltzingmouse stamps, Faux Fun and Very Vintage Labels No. 18. And I also used my floral stamp from Paper Source and the sentiment is from Papertrey Ink. The patterned paper is from Prima and the flowers are from I am Roses

Waltzingmouse Sketch Challenge 41

Hi bloggies! Sorry it's been a bit quiet around here. Well it's the weekend and I'm planning on trying to catch up with some of my favorite challenges. Let's start the ball rolling with Waltzingmouse Sketch Challenge 40! This was such a fun sketch! I'm so sure you'll all agree with me! Here it is...

Mini cards! Isn't it wonderful?! I don't usually make these and it's quite challenging to try to make sure everything I want fits into the small space. But I must say, I had a really great time making my mini cards for this challenge. Instead of using a flower for my focal point, I went with using butterflies instead. This punch is from Martha Stewart, one of my favorite punches. I also used this stamp from Very Vintage Labels No. 5 again. I just LOVE the intricate details within this stamp. It was perfect for what I had in mind. I found this lace trim over at AC Moore for a dollar. It's super cute isn't it?

I also followed the advice of my good blogland friend Heather and added more lights to my light box. What do you think? Do my pictures look better? It's only a point and shoot camera. I hope I can get a better one soon! But it seems to be working out for me so far. I can't wait to see what you'll do with this sketch! I'll see you all there! And don't forget to check out the other Mischief Makers!

Card Patterns Sketch 108

Hi bloggies! Sorry it's been quiet around here lately. But I'll make it up to you with a card I made for Card Patterns Sketch 108. Here's the sketch.

I wasn't sure how I wanted to use this sketch in the beginning. In the end, I just flipped it. I used some Waltzingmouse Stamps for my focal point, Victorian Frippery, Very Vintage Labels No. 5, Fancy Phrases and Faux Fun. I was planning on using the Totally Hues colors for this but I just couldn't make it work tonight. So I chose a few of the colors from the combination and added a few more other colors instead. I also added that cute swirl of pearls. I forgot who it's from but I'm sure a lot of you know it. Hee! (Totally embarrassed that I don't know what it's even called!!!) Haha! I think it's pretty anyway. And I should get more of them. I hope you all like it. It was a lot of fun to make. I'll see you all again tomorrow! Thanks for stopping by!

PDCC 74

Hi bloggies! It's been a busy Saturday with some take home work that I had to do. I finally had a little time for myself tonight though. I saw the wonderful inspiration photo over at Play Date Cafe. It's absolutely adorable! I decided to join in on all of the fun! Here it is, PDCC 74.

Here's my take on the challenge. I chose to go on the lighter side of the colors shown on the picture. I chose to go with a lighter shade of blue and a lighter shade of purple. I wanted to use all stamping on this card and no patterned paper at all. It's really fun what you can come up with using just stamps! Oh and I finally bought a good pair of pinking shears from Fiskars. I had those $1 ones and they were not working for me. I found these at my local Michael's and I totally love them! The stamps I used are a combination of Waltzingmouse Stamps and Papertrey Ink stamps. I just love Very Vintage Labels 18 from Waltzingmouse Stamps, I can't seem to stop using them!!! And Button Boutique from Papertrey Ink?! I can't put it down either! What do you think of this? I hope you all like it! I'll see you all again tomorrow! :)

Waltzingmouse Sketch Challenge 40

Hello again! I'm back for the Waltzingmouse Sketch Challenge 40.  I can't believe it's been almost two months now since I joined the Mischief Makers. It's been a great journey so far. I try to push myself to make something better each time. We can't go making lousy cards that don't belong up there with the rest! Hee! :) It's the weekend! FINALLY! I have a cousin who's going to have a baby in a few months and so I've been inspired to make baby stuff. :) I spent the longest time on this submission. It's the very first time I made a banner. I've always stuck to just making cards. But these WM Sketches just keep pushing me out of my comfort zone. Here's the sketch for this week.

And here's my submission. I only have a 17 x 17 light box. So I struggled on taking a picture of this! Haha! I knew I should have gotten a bigger one! And I need bigger lights as well! They're just SO expensive! And I don't know if I'm willing to spend on them just yet. There's always Photoshop! :)

I stamped the banners in different colors and matted them with patterned cardstock. Then I just embellished them with lace, ribbons, buttons, and chipboard. What do you think? :) I also took some shots of the individual banners so you can look at them in detail. I hope you'll all join us this week on WMSC 40! See you there! And don't forget to check out the other Mischief Makers! They have wonderful projects in store for everyone!
